the pogues bring me into the house and sit me down on the couch. sarah sits down right next to me and places her hand on my thigh. i flinch by the feel of her cold palm on my bare skin. "yep. something's wrong." john b states, walking towards me. "y/n. what did he say?" kiara asks me with fear. i'm speechless by the fact that rafe was even close to me. "y/n!" pope kind of yells, and i snap back to reality. "he-he said t-that" i stop midway through my sentence. "he said what, y/n?" jj cries. "that he w-would." i pause. "do it again if i continued to date jj." i finish. everyone looked concerned and confused, except for pope. i had told pope, and pope only, that rafe would abuse me every time i would refuse to be around him. it wasn't just because i knew pope could keep a secret, it was because i trusted him the most and he did see my bruises one day so i had to tell him. "y/n, what does 'do it again' mean?" jj asked even more concerned than before. pope looked up from his hands and gave me a 'just tell them' look on his face. "you can tell them, pope." i say, getting up and grabbing his hand with both of my hands. he nods. "well, um, rafe would abuse y/n during their relationship." his voice shakes and tears roll down his cheek. he wipes the tears and everyone looks at me. everyone has tears on their cheeks and in their eyes but jj looks angry more then he looks sad. "wait. how did he know you and jj were dating?" john b finally asks with confusion on his face. everyone's eyes widen. "i saw him at the beach but i didn't want to freak everyone out." sarah admits. "sarah!" kie yells. "im sorry! i did it for a good cause." she replies. "WELL IT WASN'T A 'GOOD CAUSE' BECAUSE RAFE WILL KILL US ALL IF HE SEES US AGAIN." jj yells with his hands waving around. "jj.." i start. "SOMEONE HAS TO DO SOMETHING OR ELSE WE'LL ALL BE IN SHREDS. DID YOU SEE WHAT HE DID TO BARRY JUST LAST SUMMER?" he interupts me. sarah sobs on the couch with her hands cupping her face. "JJ!" i finally scream. "instead of yelling, we have to do something quick before he can see us again!" i finish. "like what?" kiara asks. "we could leave OBX for a month to see if he moves on?" pope suggests. "that honestly could work." jb replies. "well let's get going then! we don't have all day!" jj announces. "pack your bags! we're going on a trip." john b hollers with excitement. then everyone scatters around the chateau after yelling and cheering.
