A year passed quickly. Harry enjoyed every second of parenthood and his mother, sister, and stepfather were all supportive. All of them adored Lee.

It was time to think about the future. Harry had no intention of going back to his old job as a secretary at a law firm, where his coworkers hadn't exactly been positive about his pregnancy.

The salary was too low too. He needed a job that paid him more and he looked at every job available in the nearby area but it felt hopeless. Maybe he should become a politician so he could make employers pay Omegas a fair salary? It wasn't like he could choose his secondary gender.

Well, he had no interest in politics whatsoever. He liked being a secretary and that was the education he had so he kept looking.

His maternity leave was about to end and he was stressing out about it. He couldn't live with his family forever. He wanted an apartment for himself and Lee and he wanted to be able to take care of him by himself even if he already did that obviously. Some privacy would be nice no matter how much he loved his family.

Then he saw it. An ad for a law firm in Doncaster. They were looking for a new secretary and the salary was the same for all secondary genders, at least that was what the ad said. It was a decent salary.

Harry immediately sent an application with his CV and personal letter. He could move to Doncaster. It was only a two-hour drive from Holmes Chapel.

A week later he got a reply with an interview set up. He picked up Lee and spun him around, dancing silly in the kitchen.

He left Lee with his mother when he drove to Doncaster three days later. He was nervous but excited. He needed this job! Then everything would work out.

He arrived at the law firm fifteen minutes early, wearing his best suit. He was told to take a seat and he went through his stack of papers to make sure that he had everything in order.
"Mr. Tomlinson can see you now. Come this way." The girl at the front desk said and Harry got up and followed her.

She knocked on a door and gestured for him to walk inside. Harry took a deep breath and smiled before he entered the room. His smile faded when he recognized the man sitting at a conference table.
"It's you." The man said, looking utterly surprised.

"Uhm, yeah. Hi." Harry stuttered. He couldn't believe it. It was his one-night stand. Lee's other parent.

"Take a seat. Harry is it?" The man smiled.

Harry reached out a hand and shook the hand of the alpha.
"Harry Styles. I'm really sorry, but I can't remember your name." Harry blushed.

"Louis Tomlinson." The alpha smiled.

Louis. Of course. It sounded familiar. Harry sat down. He was in a little bit of a shock to say at least.
"So, I read your application. Your personal letter spoke to me, but first I have to ask, did you know that this is me law firm when you applied for the job?" Louis asked.

"Absolutely not! Did you know it was me applying for the job?" Harry retorted.

"No, it came as a surprise." Louis smiled.

"Alright." Harry said.

"I'm just gonna put this out there. Will our night together in the past be a problem for you if you get the job?" Louis asked, clearly uncomfortable.

In ways Louis had no idea! He had to tell him but he desperately needed this job. Harry decided to get through the interview before he dropped the bomb.
"Of course not. That's in the past and it was just a one-time thing." Harry replied.

"I want to assure you that it won't be a problem for me either. Let's start the interview then." Louis smiled.

Harry thought the interview went well. He answered all of Louis' questions and also told him that he had no problem moving to Doncaster if he got the job.
"Oh, so you don't live here?" Louis wondered.

"I live in Holmes Chapel at the moment." Harry informed him.

"Lovely place." Louis smiled.

"Yeah." Harry said. He was trying to decide when he should tell him about Lee? If he waited too long Louis would definitely get angry and fire him if he actually got the job. If he told him now he would probably not get the job at all. This was an awful situation altogether.

When the interview was over Louis smiled.
"You know what? You're the best candidate for the job. If you want it, it's yours."

"I do!" Harry said.

"Can you start in two weeks? Is that enough time to move to Doncaster and get settled?" Louis asked.

"Absolutely." Harry agreed.

Louis stood up and shook his hand. Harry got up and headed to the door and opened it but stopped midway. He had to tell him. He couldn't start working here and drop the bomb months later. If Louis withdrew his offer he could look for another position before he pulled Lee out of his mum's house and moved here. He closed the door again and turned around.
"Did you forget something?" Louis asked.

"Uhm, I have to tell you something before you hire me." Harry said nervously. His stomach was a knot.

Louis furrowed his eyebrows.
"Is there a problem?"

"No. I hope not." Harry said and took a seat again.

He just stared at Louis unable to decide how to approach the subject. Louis' whole world was about to turn upside down.
