Louis' mum welcomed them with open arms. Everyone was chatting at the same time surrounding him and Lee and Harry's inner omega started to feel distressed. He felt a calmness wash over him and knew that Louis helped him.
"Guys! You're overwhelming them. Back off!" Louis said.

"Sorry." Louis' siblings said simultaneously and took a step back.

Jay told them to go to their rooms for a while and Harry could breathe again.
"They're just very excited to meet you and Leander. They haven't talked about anything else since Louis told us the news." Jay smiled.

Ernie and Doris came running into the kitchen. Harry had Lee in his lap and they came up to them.
"Be careful." Jay said.

Their chubby hands petted Lee's knee.
"Hi, Lee." Doris said.

Lee waved at them and Doris and Ernie giggled.

Dinner went well. Louis' family were very friendly and asked a lot of questions about Lee and him too. After dinner, Jay asked if she could talk to him alone for a minute. Louis took Lee and Jay showed him to the living room. Harry took a seat on the couch and glanced through the doorway to make sure that Lee was okay.
"He's a beautiful little boy. He looks so much like Louis at that age. I can show you pictures sometime." Jay smiled.

"Okay." Harry agreed. He would love to see baby pictures of Louis.

"I know you must be nervous about leaving him when you start working. I always thought it was the worst. Every child. I'm lucky to be able to be home with Doris and Ernie." Jay said.

"I have never left his side." Harry commented.

"Of course. I want you to know that I'm so happy to have a grandchild. My first! I've been looking forward to this so much. I promise you that I will take good care of him if you let me. I would love to care for him during the day while you and Louis are working if you can consider it. Love to. I also promise to listen to you regarding anything that has to do with Lee. You know him best. I hope you'll let my son in because he will be a wonderful father." Jay said.

"I will. You're really nice Jay. I would like for Lee and I to see you during this week so he will be comfortable around you and if he is, we'll give it a try." Harry said.

"Wonderful! I'm looking forward to it! Can I hug you?" Jay asked.

Harry smiled and reach out to give her a hug. Louis came into the living room.
"Lee misses his papa."

Harry took Lee in his lap and hugged him before he turned to Jay.
"Lee? This is your other nan."

Lee made grabby hands at Jay and Harry let him climb into her lap.
"Hi, sweetie." Jay smiled.

Lee stared at her curiously. They stayed for another hour before it was time to go home. Jay promised to visit the next day.

They drove back to their houses.
"How are you feeling?" Louis asked.

"Slightly overwhelmed but your family is nice, Louis. I told your mum we could give it a try if Lee feels comfortable around her." Harry answered.

"Children love me mum. I'm sure she will win him over in no time." Louis responded.

Louis took a left and drove into their street and parked the car on the driveway. Harry looked out the window. A petite brunette was waiting on the porch.
"Girlfriend?" He asked.

Louis looked over and wrinkled his eyebrows.
"Yeah. I'm sorry. I told her not to come over today."

"It's okay." Harry said. He was going home anyway.

He got Lee out of the car while Louis walked up to Eleanor. They were whispering.
"Bye." Harry said and raised a hand.

"Wait, Harry. Eleanor wants to meet you." Louis said.

This was not their agreement but it wasn't as if he could refuse without coming off as rude. He stopped on the lawn and waited for them to catch up. He was eyeing the female omega curiously. So this was who Louis was in love with? As they approached them he noticed the death glare she was giving him and even worse, Lee. As soon as they were close enough though, Eleanor smiled a fake smile and held out her hand.
"Hi, I'm Eleanor. Louis' girlfriend."

She had her arm wrapped around Louis, as if she was trying to tell him that Louis was all hers.
"I'm Harry. This is Lee."

She turned her eyes to Lee and Harry saw a second of disgust flash over her face before she smiled fakely again.
"Cute. I should move in with you, Louis to help you take care of him."

Harry's mouth dropped. Louis looked surprised and uncomfortable.
"Uhm, that's something we should discuss in private, El."

"Louis." Eleanor whined and pouted.

"Lee is tired. We're gonna go. It was nice meeting you, Eleanor." Harry said politely.

"Can I help you put him to bed?" Louis asked as Harry turned around to walk to his house.

"Sure." Harry shrugged.

"But I'm here!" Eleanor protested, pouting her lower lip.

"I'll be quick. Twenty minutes top. Find a film we can watch and make some popcorn if you want to. We'll have the rest of the evening together." Louis said.

Eleanor gave Harry another death glare before she turned around and walked to Louis' house.
"I'm sorry about that. I know we agreed to wait until she met Lee. I guess she was too excited." Louis said.

"Right." Harry answered and had to keep himself from snorting loudly.

He glanced at Louis.
"It's not really my business but are you planning on moving in with her?"

"No. We haven't even discussed it. We've only been dating for a while. Some day for sure but not now." Louis answered.

That had to do for now. Hopefully, Eleanor would get friendlier when she didn't feel threatened anymore. Harry could understand her behavior for some amount. Louis seemed to be totally oblivious though. Harry hoped it wouldn't become an issue in the future.

They put Lee to bed and Louis said good night and left. Harry spent the rest of the evening unpacking boxes. He couldn't help but glance at Louis' house once in a while. Picturing Louis snuggled up on the couch with his girlfriend made Harry's stomach turn inside out.
