He rode with Louis to work. They dropped Lee off at Jay's before they headed to the office. Louis introduced him to everyone. It was a small firm. Louis had two lawyers working for him and they had a secretary each. They all welcomed him but he could see the curious looks they gave the two of them. Word must have traveled fast.

Louis showed him to his desk and told him what he needed him to do. Harry dug right into it but called Jay every twenty minutes to make sure that everything was okay.

When he called for the sixth time in two hours Jay laughed.
"Between you and my son, I answer the phone every tenth minute. Lee is fine. I promise to call if something changes and I will send you pictures throughout the day. Please tell Louis that."

Oh. Harry went to knock on Louis' door and got a "come in". He poked his head inside.
"Uhm, we're driving your mother crazy. Apparently, you have been calling her as much as I have. She wanted me to tell you that she promise to call if something happens and that she will send pictures during the day."

Louis looked amused.
"Alright. I'm heading to court in an hour. Will you be okay here by yourself?"

"I'll be fine. I have a huge workload on my desk keeping me busy. Good luck in court!" Harry smiled before he closed the door behind him.

Forty minutes later Louis stopped at his desk on his way out to once again ask how he was doing. Harry waved him off.

He received a picture of a smiling Lee half an hour later. It was a relief to see that Lee seemed to enjoy his day with his grandma. If he had been crying and asking for him the whole day Harry didn't know what he would do. No one prepared him for the angst of being a parent.

He answered the phone and filed papers and before he knew it his workday was over. Louis came into the office smiling.
"You won?" Harry asked.

"You bet I did. Ready to go?" Louis said.

Harry hurriedly cleaned his desk, stacking his papers into a pile before he got up. They picked up Lee who came running to him with his arms wide open. Harry picked him up and smothered him in kisses.
"Hi, love. I missed you so much. Did you have fun at Nan's?"

"Play." Lee giggled.

"You played? That's good. Ready to go home?" Harry asked.

Lee twisted around and reached for Louis who looked surprised but immediately took him in his arms and gave him a hug.
"Hi, buddy. I missed you too."

Lee giggled and gave Louis a wet kiss on the cheek. Louis was beaming. Harry watched them with mixed emotions. His inner omega was infatuated. Louis was the alpha to his offspring. Harry on the other hand was mostly confused.

He asked if Louis wanted to stay for dinner when they came home but Louis declined since Eleanor was waiting for him. He showed up at eight anyway and they put Lee to bed.

Before he knew it a month had passed. He had settled in at work and kept track of his work tasks. Louis told him that he did a great job and Harry couldn't help but beam.

Louis had Lee to himself on Sunday's and Harry usually spent that time catching up on household work, but most days they hung out together. Louis ate dinner with them three times a week, they took Lee to the park or visited Louis' family. Harry's mum and stepdad had paid him a couple of visits as well.

Harry's inner omega had been in turmoil lately. It was yearning to be near the alpha, wanting to connect. It was very stressful for Harry. He felt like he wanted to crawl out of his skin. He caught Louis staring at him often without any reason. More than once he had felt his slick starting to form whenever Louis was around and he rushed to the bathroom and plugged his hole so Louis wouldn't catch a sniff of it, because that would be embarrassing to say at least. He dreamt about Louis almost every night and woke up bathing in sweat. This state of mind was driving him crazy.

He needed a break! He told Louis on Friday that he was planning on visiting his mum from Saturday to Sunday. Louis looked disappointed at first but then he smile and said "Of course."

Louis went home to spend time with his girlfriend but returned at eight to put Lee to bed before he left again. Harry called his mum and asked if he could visit and she was delighted. He packed a small overnight bag for himself and a bigger one for Lee before he tried to watch a film without being able to concentrate. His eyes drifted toward the window and he stared at Louis' house wondering what he and his girlfriend were doing. He could guess. He didn't appreciate those intrusive thoughts. Louis wasn't his mate, his Alpha. He belonged to another Omega.

He had a nice weekend with his mum. His sister came to visit too and they had a lovely family dinner and his sister spoiled Lee rotten. They asked him a million questions about his new job, but mostly about Louis. When he went to bed on Saturday evening he was exhausted. Louis had texted him a couple of times during the day asking him about Lee and he sent him pictures.

He drove home on Sunday at noon when Lee was tired so he could sleep in the car. It was always so stressful driving alone with Lee in the back when he was awake.

He parked the car on the driveway and took Lee out of his car seat and put him on the ground while he opened the trunk to get their bags, keeping an eye on him. Suddenly Lee let out a joyous scream and ran across the lawn. Harry spun around to see where he was going just to see Louis hunching with his arms wide open. Lee ran to him and threw himself in Louis' arms.
"Hi, love. I've missed you." Louis said and hugged their son.

"Dadda." Lee said.

Louis looked up and met Harry's eyes.
"Did he just call me dadda as in dad?"

"He did." Harry smiled.

Louis looked really emotional. Then he picked Lee up and spun him around and Lee laughed. Louis started to run around the lawn with Lee in his arms, pretending that he was flying and Lee couldn't stop laughing.

Harry watched them with a fond smile. Then he looked over to Louis' house and dropped his smile. Eleanor was glaring angrily at them.
