The One-night Stand

Louis knocked on the door at ten and Harry let him in. He suggested that they would go to a park nearby and Louis immediately agreed. Harry had already packed everything he needed and put Lee in his stroller. He noticed that Louis was glancing at it.
"Ehm, do you wanna push it?" Harry offered.

"I'd love to!" Louis smiled.

Harry took a step back and Louis grabbed the handle and they started to walk down the street. Harry glanced at Louis. He looked so happy and proud.
"Me family are really looking forward to meeting Lee." Louis said. 

"Really? I'm glad they took it so well." Harry answered. 

Louis glanced at him and chuckled.
"It was a lot to digest, to be honest. First I had to tell them that I'm bi to explain, eh, you. Then I told them I have a kid. They took it better than I expected. They're really curious about you."

"Me?" Harry questioned.

"Of course, you carried me child after all." Louis smiled.

"Yeah. Uhm, I'm sorry you had to come out like that." Harry said.

"It's fine. I was ready. Since I've never been in a relationship with a man I didn't feel like it was necessary before. You're actually the first male Omega I've encountered so far." Louis grinned.

"Really?" Harry questioned.

"Yep. Anyway, I'm glad that you're coming to work at me firm. I'd like us to become friends. It would make things easier, wouldn't it? You and I will be connected for the rest of our lives because of Lee. I want us to be able to work together, for his sake." Louis said.

They had reached the playground and Harry took a step forward to get Lee out of the stroller but Louis beat him to it. Louis smiled at their son and held him against his chest.
"Yeah, it would make things easier." Harry agreed.

Louis smiled at him. He placed Lee in the sand and sat down opposite him. Harry looked underneath the stroller and pulled out a small bucket and other stuff suitable to play in the sand with and gave them to Lee before he sat down as well. They helped him build a sand castle. Louis was smiling the whole time.
"I'm really fucking bummed that I missed out on the pregnancy, the birth, and 17 months of his year. I know that's not your fault, Harry and I'm not trying to make you feel bad. I just wished I could have been there, you know what I mean?"

"I get that. I took pictures during my pregnancy and I actually filmed the birth, and there's loads of material since he was born. I love taking pictures." Harry informed him.

Louis looked really excited.
"You filmed the birth?"

"Yeah, it's not pretty but I thought you might wanna see it if I would ever find you, and here you are." Harry smiled.

Louis' eyes teared up.
"Thank you! When can we watch it?"

"Oh, ehm, can we wait just a little while? Just until know you better. I'm in a really vulnerable position and honestly, it feels a little embarrassing." Harry replied.

"First of all, and I'm sorry if this is inappropriate, but I've seen you naked Harry. You have nothing to feel insecure about there. Secondly, it's the birth of our child. It can only be beautiful, incredible, and amazing." Louis answered.

"Uhm, thanks?" Harry mumbled.

"I hope I can see it soon?" Louis asked.

"Yeah, but only you. Okay? I haven't even seen it myself. I don't want anyone else to see it, like your family or your girlfriend." Harry said.

"Of course not." Louis immediately agreed.

Lee was getting restless so they took him to the swings and Harry let Louis push him. Lee laughed loudly. Harry picked up his phone and snapped pictures of him and Louis both smiling happily.
"Can you send me one of those?" Louis asked.

Harry did so immediately.
"Done!"

"Thanks." Louis smiled.

Sometime later they sat down and Harry got a plastic box out and opened it to reveal neatly cut watermelon pieces. He offered Louis a piece while he bit off small pieces for Lee to chew.
"Have you found a place in Doncaster yet?"

"No. I've joined the agencies around Doncaster that offer safe Omega apartments but I haven't really had the time to go through their available offers yet. I'll probably do that tonight when Lee is asleep." Harry informed him.

"Would you be interested in renting a house?" Louis asked.

"That sounds like a dream. It depends on how much the rent is." Harry answered.

"I'm sure I could get you a good deal. Me best friend Oli just got a job in the States. He's thinking about letting someone rent his house in the meantime. Two years for starter. It's actually the house next to mine." Louis said.

"We would be neighbors?" Harry questioned.

"Well, yeah. That would definitely things easier." Louis shrugged.

"I don't know, Louis. It would feel a little weird to live next to you and your girlfriend, especially since you told me that she's not exactly happy about the situation." Harry hesitated.

"Eleanor has her own apartment. We don't live together. I mean, she will be over sometimes but I can decide when. I'll make it work. So what do you say?" Louis replied.

"I'll definitely consider it. I would love for Lee to have a garden to play in." Harry smiled.

"I'll talk to Oli about it then." Louis answered.

Lee was rubbing his eyes. He was getting sleepy. He began to whine and Louis tried to pick him up but then he started crying and reached for Harry. Louis handed him over.
"He's tired. Let's put him in the stroller and go for a walk. He falls asleep easily." Harry said.

He got up and placed Lee in the stroller and pulled the back down so he was more comfortable. He wrapped a thin blanket over him while Louis gathered their things.

They took a walk around the neighborhood until Lee had fallen asleep and Louis went home after he had asked if he could come back the next day and Harry agreed.
