things were going steady again, you were back living your "regular, boring life" but this time you wanted to embrace it fully. this life was better than getting played by damon you told yourself.

tho, there was one problem you liked him so much and missed him so much.

yet you forced yourself to stay strong and keep busy. you had even started paying attention to your classes now since you had nothing to do and nothing to look forward to.

a few of your friends teased you for being delusional, they didn't believe your damon story. you being an alleged fool had become a running gag in the friend group. it was terrible and you sometimes took it to heart, it caused a dent.

you pretended to stay firm as everything around you slowly fell apart. everyone in college thought you were a compulsive liar. the rumours had spread like wild fire. this affected your mental health and academics badly.

plus everything you saw reminded you of damon. you knew it was real, the chemistry between you and him and that chemistry was a massive reason to why you couldn't keep your promise of distancing yourself from damon.

your promise was even worsely challenged when one day you saw a poster of a band performing in an arena, it was no one other than blur. they were playing Sunday again. the sane part of your brain did everything to hold you back but things worked out differently.

-

you had made it to the blur concert. the first one of your life, the pub one wasn't this huge and overwhelming. you felt yourself blending into rest of the crowd. people were pushing you around, screaming and acting mental.

but at least you were in the front, you could see many people going in and out of the backstage area but none of the band members were in sight. you sighed and kept watch.

meanwhile, someone close to damon had spotted you in the crowd. he immediately informed him that "y/n is here"

damon knew exactly what to do now, he had a plan.

-

your eyes were set on the stage, waiting for blur to appear but your gaze was force to snap towards the backstage area. you had found damon, just standing there surrounded by fans.

they were standing in a circle, getting autographs and kisses by damon sometimes on the cheek, sometimes on the lips. you felt fire in your stomach. this proved you weren't over damon, not at all.

you pulled out a bottle of whisky that you carried around for times like these. you did not take sips, you gulped it down whole while watching damon interact  with his fans.

it's hard to understand the concept of time when you're drunk but a little while after that incident, the band came on stage and started playing. you felt sorrow, pain and angst.

you kept drinking and drinking as they performed. then suddenly you felt an arm on your shoulder, "would you like to watch them from the sides?" a man asked you.

"what?" you were puzzled.

"craig, blur's manager." he put his hand forward for you to shake. he was the man who had informed damon about you being in the crowd.

you reluctantly shook his hand. he guided you to the backstage area and let you watch blur perform from the sidelines. it only enraged you more. you had to show damon and everyone else who you really were. the alcohol in your system was taking control.

again, time was a haze. a minute felt like an hour. blur had finished playing. damon was saying something into the mic, something similiar to a goodbye. you folded your arms and watched.
