(a/n: this is honestly my fav chapter in the book, i hope you lot enjoy it too!!)

"it's urgent! damon- he's in the hospital. you've got to drop everything and come right now."

hearing the concern in craig's voice sent a chill down graham's spine.

"wha-" was all he managed to utter.

"i am on my way right now. you've got to come to tulip hospital as soon as possible." craig said firmly then hung up.

graham broke the news to y/n. you couldn't believe it but you two didn't have much time, you had to reach the hospital. the rain was still pouring down hard and no taxis were in sight.

you two made a run for it, trying to find a source of transportation. you even thought of going back to the club for a second but you two forgot which way it was, it was impossible to see amidst the blinding rain.

you held graham's hand and decided to fight this. you navigated the road.

-

*time skip*

there was a lot of struggle and uncertainty in the path but you made it to the hospital with graham. only you two knew how hard and dangerous it was, the panic had set in like a dagger.

you leaned over the receptionist's desk and regained your breath, looking at graham. you were hoping for him to speak but he couldn't because he couldn't catch his breath.

"are you two okay?" the receptionist asked.

"damon- where is damon?" graham asked her a question instead of answering hers first.

"i advice you to have a glass of water firs-" she tried to calm both of you down but you spoke over her,

"where is damon? what's his room number?" you asked in a loud and stern voice.

the receptionist went "erm-" and started to scan thru her computer.

graham let out a groan and buried his face in the palm of his hands, "we might have to cancel the tour, what if- what if he's paralysed-"

"or in a coma." you folded your arms.

"what if he's dead-" he said in shaky voice, you not only heard but also felt the fear in his voice.

"room 301." the receptionist lady stated.

graham looked very disturbed and tensed, he was in a trance almost, "what happened to him?" he asked the receptionist.

she looked terrified because in front of her was sweaty man with a disheveled look, a twig in sitting his dirty brown hair, he was wide eyed with rain droplets painted over his glasses, he had just asked her a question she didn't know the answer to.

"i am only the receptionist, i've got no clue." she said as the pair walked away.

you were in a same state as graham in terms of looks. it was a difficult road that you two took to get here to say the least. you walked with graham to room 301, you shared a look with him before entering.

you braced yourself for the worst. you had thought of every bad scenario possible from car accident to memory loss to full body paralysation to stroke to heart attack to coma to even death.

so you were clearly caught off guard when you walked in on damon laying on the hospital with a wide smile on his face, he was slipping on apple juice and his left arm looked to be in a cast.

"wait, you're alive?" graham said out loud exactly what you were thinking.

damon stopped gulping down the juice and looked at his mate, "did you want me dead or something?"
