"A DANGEROUS WOMAN."

~*~*~

"Slow the fuck down butterfly, not everyone has wings." X growled at her as one more branch snap at his face. Throwing away the reminiscence of what was left of it as he tore it off the tree, he stomped behind Anni. His black armor suit saved him from the inevitable thorns that plunged themselves in him. The forest God might have an enmity with him since its just him all the hurdles are coming to. Anni's walking in these woods like she was born here.

The spectacle they had before has already left him....wanting. He isn't just aware of what. Anni has never been too easy a riddle to solve. She's been boldly cut the chase kind of a woman and he admires her for it. When he had met her in the outskirts of the city, his first mission after going rebel, he had been struck by her presence.

This woman, she has always kept him at an arm's length, yet he always finds himself drowning in her. Maybe it's just her effect or whatever bullshit the media spins. However, he knows. He knows that in the years passed something between them has changed.

He has started to care for her. When she told him that she is going behind Tushar, actually getting involved in the mess now, he was scared. He has never been scared, not for anyone else especially. Yet he was scared. A few hours ago, he had been debating to bail out, or kidnap Anni and make her stay, or walk with her to cause chaos.

A difficult choice, yet all of it was for her, because of her and led him to her. He was baffled as his thoughts had taken a different direction some time ago. He had said the truth, his voice displayed his wild imagination. It was dangerous. Dangerous of her to stay that close to him. He feared he'd cross the line. He could swear a shiver had passed through him, coating him in ice that didn't bite him, as soon as she looked down at him even with their height difference, batting her eyelashes and speaking with that sensual edge to her tone.

He was beyond gone back then. It took a lot of thinking about leeches, and cockroaches, and other slimy puke worthy animals to keep himself at bay. He couldn't have gone to fight with blue balls. He had literally thought about anything that'll distract him from her and almost thanked her as she retreated.

"Not in your dreams." Anni hissed, stopping once and turning behind to glare him before striding forward and forcing him to save his face from the dusty leaves, pointy twigs and sharp branches. "We are already late. One fucking hour late!" He winced. "All because you wanted to play dress up."

"This shit takes time to put on and I did it because I know what kind of missions you lead. You. Lead." He pointed out a fact that every sane person who worked for Anni and worked with Anni knew, that when she steps into the field blood is always spilled, it is a living massacre. No one can come out of it if she doesn't want. They know. He knows. And that is why he is still wearing this load of armor on himself even in the humid climate of the woods.

"We are going to strike on a warehouse." Her voice dropped and then she exploded. "Not a fashion show for you to fucking strut around like a peacock!" he winced again. That hurt.

"With that mask piled with those stones, you're one to TALK!" he fought back. She glared him hard, turning around. His feet stopped an inch before they collided, his gaze feral. "Do you even know how much that shit costs?"

"I own the mine X." she deadpanned. He blinked back at her, his only sign of surprise. How wonderful. Instead of telling her what the plan is, she's just leading him on blindly. He wouldn't move anymore if she doesn't deem it worthy enough to tell her the plan.
