THE PLACE AEMMA was leading Aemond and Cole to was located at the very edge of the city and although both of them were partially relieved that there weren't many people around, they were unsettled by the fact that they didn't know where they were going and they had little time left to find Aegon. It would have been wiser to stay in the city and search wherever they could think of, but Aemma was the only one who seemed to have a plan and therefore neither of them objected.

Besides, neither of them got a chance to protest as after a while Aemma finally reached the big house which seemed much less scary than the day she saw it for the first time, but maybe it was also due to the fact that when Aemma was first there she was dirty with the blood of the people she killed and was almost raped. The memories flooding her mind stopped her for a moment and she hesitated, but then confidently knocked on the door as she remembered.

Three knocks.

Pause.

One knock.

Pause.

Two knocks.

Wait.

And nothing happened.

"Let me guess," Aemond spoke out from behind her and she didn't have to turn around to know that he's annoyed. "No one is home."

"Maybe I would know if you stopped talking for at least one minute," Aemma snapped back and she slightly leaned to the door. She could have sworn she heard footsteps.

Aemond rolled his eye and instead of talking to her again he turned to Cole with a pointed look as if he was asking him what to do now. There was a similar annoyance on Cole's face as Aemond's, but he was trying to hide it more and think about other options.

"Alright, you two, let's calm down and think," he said sternly, but only turned to Aemond as Aemma seemed to be in her own world as she was still leaning her head against the door. "We still have a few options left -- we'll split up and search the remaining brothels separately to avoid being suspicious an--"

He and Aemond slightly flinched when they heard several painfully loud knocks and turned to Aemma who was impatiently knocking on the door.

"What are you doing?" Cole hissed in disbelief before he turned his head to the both sides of alley to make sure no one heard them.

Aemond took one step closer to her and grabbed her arm that was knocking and gripped it firmly. "Aemma --"

She immediately broke out of his grip, but luckily she didn't start knocking again. "Aenar, I know you're in there! Open the fucking door before I break it because if I get my hands on you I'll feed you to Meraxes!"

Aemond's brows furrowed in confusion and he was ready to turn back to Cole who he heard that let out a deep sigh, but then he heard footsteps behind the door which stopped right in front of the door, but still didn't open it.

"What's the password?" came a boy's voice from behind the door.

It was Aemma's turn to frown. "What?"

"You heard me. What's the password?"

"There's no password, you're making it up!" she scoffed.

"If you don't know the password, you have nothing to do here. Bye."

Aemma almost looked like she was ready to break the door down, but then she took a deep breath and said, "Aenar, open the door. It is important. I need to talk to the White Worm."

There was a silence on the other side for a while. "Talk about what?"

"That's just between me and the White Worm. But I assure you that it is an offer from which she could gain a lot and she would definitely be sorry if she lost it because of you," Aemma said with a sweet smile even though he couldn't see her.
