Chapter Fourteen

They arrived back at the tower where Bruce and Tony were messing with the cradle. It took Cara only a few moments to realize they were attempting to put JARVIS' algorithm into the body inside the cradle. Steve had no idea that this was their best option in order to take down Ultron.

"Shut it down!" Steve said.

"Nope, not gonna happen," Tony replied.

"You don't know what you're doing,"

"And you do?" Bruce asked, looking at Wanda, "She's not in your head?"

Wanda stepped out from behind Steve, next to him, "I know you're angry."

"Oh, we're way past that," Bruce said, "I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade."

Cara's eyes widened as a small smile appeared on her lips, that was unnecessarily hot. She thought to herself, Wanda nudged her, having read her mind. Everyone began to argue until Pietro ran around the room, unplugging every cord.

"No, no, go on," Pietro said, "You were saying?" There was a gunshot and Pietro fell straight through the floor.

"Pietro!" Wanda yelled. Tony tried to reroute the upload but Steve threw his shield at all of the screens. Wanda began to form red energy in her hands when Bruce grabbed her from behind. Bucky and Cara stood there as they all began fighting, they looked at eachother and sighed. Bucky pulled Steve from Tony and Cara went up to Bruce as he fell to the ground, Wanda standing above him.

Without any notice, Thor ran to the cradle and used his power to recharge the body. Everybody stopped what they were doing and looked to the center of the room. The body busted out of the cradle and charged toward Thor. Thor threw the body away from him, through the glass and toward the tower window.

"Holy fuck," Cara said, rolling her eyes, "Everyone is so dramatic." Everybody made their way toward where the robot was hovering.

Thor began talking about his vision and the gem in the red robot's head. Wanda, Pietro, and Cara were the only ones who knew of the gem's power. Wanda stepped up to the being, "I looked in your head and saw annihilation."

"Look again," He replied.

"Her seal of approval means jack to me," Clint interrupted.

After several moments of the robot explaining himself, he handed Mjolnir to Thor and walked out. Everybody stood there in shock while Cara chuckled slightly, "We better hurry if we want to find Nat."

"Right," Thor said, he patted Tony on the shoulder, "Well done."

"Three minutes," Steve said, "Get what you need."

Once they arrived in Sokovia, they began moving all of the civilians out. As Cara was compelling the people to leave, robots appeared from underground. Several of them went straight for Cara, she shot a bolt of energy through three of them as another jumped on her back. Bucky grabbed its head and ripped it apart, "You okay?" He asked. Cara nodded and began fighting with the others.

The ground below them began to lift off of the earth and Ultron gave a speech about his plan. Cara kept fighting the robots with the rest of the team.

"Cap, you got incoming," Tony said through the ear piece.

"Incoming already came in," Steve replied, "Stark, you worry about bringing the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job, tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt them back. You get killed, walk it off."

"'Kay 'kay Steve," Cara replied, "Reassuring for real."

Cara and Bucky were fighting with Pietro when Clint said through the communications, "We're clear here."
