Hospitals have a way of shrinking time.
They're all there. Lev, Seb. Niko, Sasha, Siena, liana and Rami. Selin is on the chair with her legs tucked up, Liana half-asleep against Rami's shoulder. Nobody's left. Nobody's even joked about leaving. Alex is still unconscious, the machines are the only thing telling them she's okay.
Seb is the one who breaks the silence.
"I got into the bathroom cameras."
Everyone turns not even asking how. He finds things people usually can't find, like a skip tracer. Seb tilts his phone so they can all see. It starts with them circling her while shes on the floor. Theyre Talking but what theyre saying can't be heard Then it turns ugly Fast.
She fights back, Harder than anyone expected. Throwing punches, pulling hair, breaking bones. Just pure survival.
Then— A chokehold. Her elbows fly backward repeatedly while her knees start giving in. The guy slams her head into the sink though theres no sound the impact and the immediate reactions make everyone almost flinch.
The video keeps going.
Lev doesn't blink and Seb's jaw is locked so tight it looks painful. His hands are shaking, but his voice is flat. Dead.
"I'm going to ruin them," Seb mutters and Niko exhales slowly, rubbing his face.
"We're not doing anything until she wakes up. She decides." Lev finally speaks after hours of silence.
"And if she doesn't?" Niko just stares at Lev like he should know the answer.
⚬⚬⚬ Alex wakes up like she's late for something. Her eyes flutter open and she immediately tries to sit up. Bad move. She makes a small sound, like a sharp intake of breath, and Lev's head snaps to her before anyone else.
"...Why are you all here?" Selin laughs softly, to hide the fact that she might cry.
"Because you scared the hell out of us silly." Alex swallows. Tries to breathe around the pain.
"Can you call Kendall?" she asks. "She— she needs to know." Seb's voice is completely different from how it was like half an hour ago.
"We already did, She's already on her way." Alex relaxes instantly at that like that was the only thing stopping her from really calming down.
"Okay," she whispers. "Good." nodding to hersrlf then her head snaps up with her eyebrows cocked.
"Did you guys have dinner?" she asks. Of course, even in pain she worries about them rather than herself.
"Don't worry about us," Nikolai says. "Lev blessed us with his hidden culinary skills." He pats Lev on the back, earning himself the iciest side-eye ever.
