ever since the day the two confessed they have been even more inseparable, if that's even possible. the two were stuck to each other like glue. everywhere kiyoko went so did y/n. the two were constantly together. y/n even began showing up to gym while the team played volleyball. y/n would help out kiyoko with her manger things and her school work, anything kiyoko needed y/n would always be there. everything was so perfect, but just one throught kept lingering onto kiyokos mind, was what were they? were they friends who had feelings for each other? yes. were they dating? no. did she want to date y/n? of course she did. so why didn't she just ask y/n? she didn't know how to. but she wanted to ask her so badly. and so she hoped y/n would ask her. and her hoping worked.
one friday evening, after the teams practice ended and everyone was packing up, kiyoko went to go look for y/n but couldn't find her anywhere. she was confused as since the day they confessed y/n would always stay back and walk kiyoko home. but today she was no where to be seen. she started asking the team if they have seen y/n and they all said no, well expect for kei. he said nothing, but he obviously knew why y/n left early but knew he wouldn't say anything cause that would ruin the surprise so he lied to kiyoko instead and said.
" oh y/n texted me saying her dad came home early and she wanted to see him." well this wasn't a complete lie, yes y/n's dad came home early but y/n and him already talked and he had to leave again in the afternoon.
" oh why didn't she say anything." kiyoko mumbled under her breath but clear enough for kei to hear her.
" she said it was a last minute thing and she says sorry for leaving you here alone." kei said to shimizu as he patted her shoulder and picked up his bag to walk out the gym.
kei began walking to the near by park and looked behind him to make sure nobody was following him and opened up his phone to text y/n.
