I can't wait

The street was quiet. Top quiet. Liam looked around his neighbourhood as he drove past the community gates. His eyebrows furrowed.

"What is this?" He mutters to himself. He glances at the rearvuew mirror and Vanessa was busy on her ipad.

He looks around once again before driving forward. He spots a black SUV across the street from his house and his heart sank as panic washed over him.

Did the police know where he lived? But how?

The black porche slowly pulls up to the house, his eyes widen as the door to the Black SUV opened and he saw Josh, his bubblegum pink hair flowing with the direction of the wind.
He watched the omega pull out his gun and they were face to face.

"He came....he really came"

"Dad what's going on?"

His senses seemed to have returned. Suddenly there were officers surrounding his car, all of them yelling at him to come out with his hands above his head.

Luke walked to window and tapped the window with his gun.

"You've been caught. Come out"

Liam glared at him, this man was sleeping with Josh. Why Luke and not him? His foot stepped on the clutch.

Josh gasped.

"Don't do it!"

In seconds, Liam's porches reversed, bumping into the officers behind, some he even ran over leaving their broken limbs in awkward angles.

Josh and Luke rushed to their car whilst the rest helped the fallen officers off the road. Luke made a uturn and sped off after Liam.

"Captain, the suspect is mobile. Currently driving a 2019 black porche, plate number is L28 SAJ, requesting backup and help, we're on pursuit and currently heading east"

The radio crackled and Wendy's voice came through.

"Got it, stay on the radio and continue pursuit"

Josh slapped the siren button and the blaring sound echoed as the black SUV sped after the black porche.

On the other hand, Liam was having the time of his life, he'd glance at the rear view mirror and saw Josh's pink hair in the car behind.

"You look cute when you're serious" he muttered and swerved to the right, taking a one way road.

"Vanessa, buckle up honey"

Luke sped up the car and Josh rolled down the window, his head sticks out the window and he sees Liam's car swerving right and left up ahead.

"I can't get a clear shot!" He yelled and Luke nodded.

"There's a sniper riffle in the back" he says, left hand tugging at the bag in the backseat.

Josh lowered his seat and grabbed the bag, he sit back up and begins to ensamble the gun.

The moment Luke heard a click, he swerved to the right lane. Josh grabbed the gun and exposed half of his body, he aims at Liam's tyres, the gun made a low 'ping' sound once he fired the shot, they watch Liam's car swerve and they frown.

"It's a porche, it can go on punctured tyres!" Luke says making Josh sigh. He gets back in the car and tosses the gun in the back.

Suddenly there was a helicopter in the sky, Josh saw Wendy with the pilot.

Luke went to the right while Wendy and the helicopter went to the left. The cars on the road were now pulled up to the side, giving way to the chase.

Liam, who was now heading towards an unknown place sped up. His daughter in the back seat laughing and giggling as the car swerves now and then.

He saw the helicopter getting closee but he refused to surrender.

"I need to come up with something, quick"

Luke and Josh were now joined by three squad cars and a helicopter as they were now going down the highway slope, Josh looked out the window and sighs.

"We won't catch him"

"I know, but I have an idea. We might get hurt"

Josh looked at him in worry.

"Are you sure?"

"Trust me."

They held hands and Luke floored the car, Josh felt his stomach and anxiety rise to his throat. The front of their car bumped into Liam's car.

Josh's eyes widened when he saw a child look back from the backseat.

"He has a child on board!"

Luke's face turned red in anger.

"What?! What the fuck is wrong with this man"

Josh grabs his radio and presses the button.

"Attention all teams, suspect has a minor on board. I repeat, suspect has a minor on board"

It was silent for a few seconds then Wendy spoke up.

"Let him go, we'll meet at the station and regroup"

Hearing that, Luke slapped the steering wheel in rage.

"FUCK!"

By evening, everything and everyone were settled down. Luke handed Josh the case file with a sigh.

"We know where he lives now, all we need to do is stake out"

Josh nodded but Wendy shook her head in refusal.

"He is a murderer, I don't want anything happening to either of you. Especially now that you will soon be planning a family."

Josh nodded. It was a fair thing to say.

"Alright we'll have backup on the scene. That way if we spot Liam, we'll catch him on the spot"

Wendy sighed and gave them a nod.

"Alright, let's do it. The moment you see that fucker, take him"

The black porche slowed down and parked in front of the garage. Liam looked around the street and carried a sleeping Vanessa inside the house. Glass crunched and broke under his shoes.

"I need to get that fixed" he murmured.

After getting Vanessa in bed, he returns to the entrance to clean the glass. His ears perk up when he catches a sweet scent in the air.

"What is that? Cotton candy? Caramel?" He asked himself, sniffing the air.

The scent leads him to the foyer, there was a round table with a tall vase there and Liam saw a smugde on the table. He sniffed it.

"Bubblegum" he muttered. His mind takes him to that bubblegum pink haired guy, he smiles and ran his nose along the varnished wood, as if he was taking in cocaine.

"You were in my house, naughty boy" he whispers, without thinking his tongue ran along the smudge.

He sighs in ecstasy.

"I can't wait to see you"
