"What happened to Vanessa?"

Wendy handed Luke a cup of jell-o and she sighed, shaking her head.

"We put her in witness protection with a social worker. Poor thing was asking about her dad."

Luke nodded and took a scoop of the jelly, the apple flavour made his mouth tingle and water.

"Any word on Josh?"

Wendy looked at him. Yesterday after the funeral, Luke returned to the hospital and asked Wendy to search for Josh. Regardless of the location.

"Liam took him in a private jet. They landed in Italy. We're still looking through the footage at the airport"

Luke nodded and stared at the empty jell-o cup and tears blurred his vision. Josh must be so scared with that animal.

"I have to save him"

Wendy watched him wipe his tears and she sighed. What can she do? What if they don't find anything in the footage? What will she tell Luke?

"We will, don't worry"

Josh woke up to the smell of freshly made pancakes, he sat up on the bed and smiled when he noticed the flowers on the nightstand.

"He's so sweet"

He slid off the bed and got out of the bedroom. He heard a song playing downstairs as he went down the hall towards the stairs. He then heard a voice singing along with the song, it was Liam.

"When you dance down the street with a cloud at your feet, you're in love"

Josh smiled, watching Liam saunter around the kitchen whilst singing. He cleared his throat and Liam turned to face him, the smile on his face not fading.

The alpha held the omega by the hand and pulled him closer before they began to dance to the song, Josh's laugh made Liam's heart swell.

"That's Amore"

They stopped once the song ended. Liam helped Josh to his seat.

"Good morning my love, how did you sleep?" Liam asked as he stacked three pancakes on a plate for Josh.

"Pretty good. You?"

"Same here. Let's go out today, we're running low on groceries"

The plate was placed in front of the omega, the pancakes were golden, drizzled with nutella around the egdes.

"Let's go out all day. I feel like I've never been outside this house before"

Liam chuckled as he poured the omega a glass of mango juice.

"Alright, we can spend the whole day outside the house. You and I will create great memories"

Josh smiled at him, he looked at the alpha's eyes and he shuddered before looking away.

"I can't wait"

"Any sign of Liam or Josh?"

"Not yet captain, we're left with a few more hours of footage"

She sighed and glanced at her wrist watch.

"Alright, I'm heading back to the hospital"

Her Jimmy Choo heels tapped on the floor as she walked towards the door, just as she turned the knob, a cadet called out to her.

"Captain! I found them!"

A sigh of relief escaped her lips and she turned around to the team.

"Show me"

The cadet sent the video clip to the large screen and everyone watched as Liam carried a sleeping Josh in his arms all the way to the exit. Wendy felt her whole body shake in rage. This man is so daring!

"Get me on the line with the Italian police, I want you all to check the security cameras around the airport, hopefully we'll see that bustard's car"

"Yes captain"

Liam smiled at Josh, the omega was walking towards him with two strawberry flavoured gelato cups.

"Look what I got. The lady gave them to me for free!"

"Really? How come?" Liam chuckles as he made Josh sit on his lap. The quiet breeze in the park made the ambience favourable for this snack.

"She said I was cute!" Josh giggled and began to eat, it was so good!

"So after this what should we do next?" Liam asked, hand on Josh's thigh.

Josh felt his whole body shudder. He clears his throat and pondered for a moment.

"Let's go on a romantic tour. Toss coins in fountains, go on a hike."

Liam frowned. What hell was this omega talking about?

"How about we go have a lunch date, followed by a dinner date and head back home and....cuddle"

Josh frowned.

"But I really want to do these things with you"

Liam sighed in frustration. This is going to be a long day!

"Okay, whatever you want Joshie"

Wendy yawned and stretched her arms above her head. She glances at the screen and sighs.

"Still nothing huh? Maybe I should start going" she teases, hoping that when she touches the door, new information will come up.

She stood up and one detective stopped her.

"I think I found something"

Wendy sat back down and wheeled herself towards the detective's desk in her chair. She watches as Liam and Josh got inside a black maserati levante. The video crops up to another camera that showed the car stopping by a hospital in Venice.

Another video showed the car going up a hill in a residential area that's where the video ended. Wendy looked at the detective and smiled.

"You did a great job. Let's all go home for the day, I'm going to show Luke these videos"

"Look!"

Liam followed Josh's pointing and frowned. The omega was pointing at a bunch of gondolas. The alpha immediately shook his head.

"No, you're still recovering."

Josh pouted.
"But-"

"No buts, we're going home"

Josh sighed in disappointment. From what Liam told him, their relationship was going great. But why is the alpha dismissive of all his ideas.
