Chapter 1: Reincarnation!

"This must be a nightmare, a very bad nightmare!" thought Naruto to himself as he looked at his teammate or it's best to say former teammate who had his hand thrust into his chest with lighting dancing in his hand.

"How did it come to this?" Thought Naruto once more as he watched his own former teammate, Sasuke Uchiha pulled his hand from his chest and held his wrist clearly in pain.

This was an A-rank assassination technique, The Chidori. He had heard that Kakashi-sensei was the one who created it and was based on the Rasengan, the latter which he learned from Jiraiya of the Toad Sannin but he preferred calling him Pervy sage due to the older man's antics.

That aside, he had learned that the Chidori can only be used a few times and Sasuke clearly used it several times throughout their mortal combat so it was no surprise that the Uchiha felt pain in his wrist from overuse of the technique.

Naruto fell on his back as a pool of blood formed underneath him, he was in too shock that his mind hadn't still registered the fact that he was at this very moment dying.

All of this started after the Sound Four infiltrated the village for a second time but this time in order to recruit the Uchiha who had the curse mark on his neck and so using the fact that Sasuke was emotionally vulnerable to convince him to join Orochimaru for more power.

Everything was going fine for them, despite starting on the wrong foot with both his teammates, they had developed solidarity with him being close to Sasuke because of the fact that they were both orphans who had lost their parents albeit he never knew his parents while Sasuke clearly had memories of his deceased family and clan.

All of this was shattered when during his search for Tsunade, he had a run in with Itachi and Kisame of the Akatsuki who were after him. The issue lies with Itachi Uchiha who is known for having killed the entire Uchiha clan in a single night and was Sasuke's object of his obsessive revenge.

Sasuke happen to come at a bad time because a confrontation between him and Itachi happened but it was way too one sided to be called a battle and so Itachi used [Tsukuyomi] which he later learned that it put Sasuke in a powerful Genjutsu that made him re-watch the Uchiha massacre over and over.

This left Sasuke in a coma but Tsunade being the greatest medical shinobi in the land, Naruto had become even more determined to help both Sasuke as well as Kakashi-sensei to wake up from their coma and had succeeded but Sasuke seems to have remembered his goals.

Not only that, seeing as Itachi came for him and not for Sasuke had clearly resulted in Sasuke developing an inferiority complex. To Sasuke, he was a loser who was getting stronger while his own development was stagnant which made Sasuke hostile towards him.

It all came to Sasuke finally realizing or rather blaming the village for his inability to grow in power and defected to Orochimaru who he believed was the one who is going to make him stronger than before.

Unfortunately, the village at the time was still recovering from the Oto-Suna Invasion that resulted in the death of the Sandaime Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi. The village rebuilding was top priority so many shinobi were sent on missions outside the village to generate income.
