Chapter 3: Arthur's 5th Birthday!

"Kyaaa!!! Our other son is a genius in magic!" screamed Zenith clearly in pure joy as she pushed Rudeus face in her cleavage much to Rudeus happiness at having his mother's bountiful breast in his face, it was an honorable death in Rudeus eyes.

Arthur and Paul entered the room abruptly as they looked at the wall of the room that Rudeus was in, destroyed due to a magic attack that Rudeus had pulled. The clear indication that this was Rudeus doing was because of the magic book that was laid on the ground which Lilia had taken notice to.

"You...when did you learn magic...?" Asked Paul in clear surprise. While Arthur did learn magic at the age of 2 as compared to Rudeus who learned it at 3 but they thought that Arthur was more special.

Paul also wanted his two sons to follow on the path of swordsmanship albeit Arthur wants to be a Magician swordsman which is fine since Arthur wasn't exactly against learning swordsmanship from him.

"Dear!! Let's get a magic tutor for both Art and Rudy!!" Shouted Zenith jumping excitedly as she proceeded to clasp her hand together and gain a dreamy look.

"That's right, a tutor! If we go to Roa town, surely we can get a good magic teacher..." Said Zenith dreamily at the prospect of her two children learning magic and becoming prominent figures which Paul was quick to interfere in an attempt to squash her ambition.

"No, wait, wait. If you gave birth to a boy, didn't we promise that he would learn swordsmanship!" Said Paul while arm crossed as he looked at his wife who wasn't planning on backing away from her ambition in turning her two sons into great magicians.

"But at this age they both are able to use intermediate magic!? Art can already use [Voiceless Incantation] which you know he's the only one who can use it and surely Rudy will also be able to do the very same. If they both get trained they'll be able to become an amazing magician!!" Said Zenith as she pulled both Rudeus and Arthur.

"Arthur wants to be a Magician swordsman and not a Magician and I'm sure Rudy will want to be as cool as his own father and big brother Art. Besides, a promise is a promise, right!!" Paul reminded his wife of the promise they both had made before Arthur was born.

"What's with that 'promise'!! Don't you always break your promises!!" Shouted Zenith back appalled at the fact that Paul was lecturing her about keeping promises when he was known to break ones.

"Right now this has nothing to do with me!!" Shouted Paul back as Rudeus looked at his family awkwardly. He was under the impression that he was going to be sent to the inquisition for using magic.

"Father, mother. Shouldn't we ask Rudy what he wants to be?" Arthur asked, having decided to put an end to this argument. Both his parents aren't entitled to force their own dreams and ambition onto them.

That made them stop as they looked at Rudeus intensely which made him back away from the sudden attention back at him and cursed Arthur internally for getting the attention back at him.

"Rudy, don't you want to be a cool magician like your mom and even your big brother Arthur?" Asked Zenith with excitement brimming in her own eyes.

"Don't listen to her Rudy, why don't you become a swordsman instead of a magician. Swordsmen are strong unlike Magicians who a wind can knock them off their feet!" Said Paul which got him slapped at the back by Zenith.
