Chapter 9: A brother Talk!

The situation between Rudeus and Sylphiette was awkward as both Arthur and Elmesia had come down to see the situation. Apparently like Arthur had expected, Rudeus was dense enough to not realize that a cute boy like Sylph was actually a girl.

Not that he can be blamed. Arthur believed that he too, would have actually believed that she was a boy then a girl if he was still Naruto Uzumaki. Sylph also dressed like a typical tomboy unlike normal girls who usually wear short skirts but all she wore was a light brown shirt and pants.

Her hair also was short which the first time they met, her hair was shorter than even that of Rudeus. Then again, Laws, who is Sylphiette's father, was not a rich man like them, instead he is just a normal hunter with an average skill so it was no surprise that Sylphiette was dressed poorly.

How did he know she was actually a girl? Well, smell was a major factor on how he managed to identify her as one along with other factors that had further confirmed that she was a girl.

Usually, he shouldn't be able to smell someone since humans are incapable of doing so but with just mana enhancement to his nose and voila, his sense of smell becomes strong enough.

He had learned that girls and boys have a smell that differentiate the two between each other. He had time practicing said technique whenever he had walked around the village so he definitely knew what he was talking about.

Additionally, he is a [Water God Style] practitioner. To wield said sword style, you need to be able to take notice of minor details that nobody else would even think about such as body language, texture of hand, the shape of their bodies etc.

So just from a single glance, he already knew she was a girl rather than a boy. He had expected that Rudeus would figure it out one day given how much of a pervert he is but apparently his little brother was way too dense and was just under the impression that Sylphiette was an Ikemen.

Rudeus also turned out to be quite insensitive as well because apparently in his attempt to apologize to the poor girl, he had also revealed that he viewed her as a boy rather than a girl.

For a girl like Sylphiette, this definitely hurt her because it was the equivalent of being told that she was quite unattractive or that she does not possess any womanly charm and proceeded to cry on Zenith bosoms who felt pity for the young girl.

Elmesia had to comfort her friend over this as she patted her back knowing that Sylphiette already developed attachment towards Rudeus and may have already started to develop romantic feelings albeit the green-haired girl can't express herself properly.

"Wow...way to step on her confidence, bro!" Said Arthur with a sigh while Rudeus glared at him slightly since he had heard that while he was stuck in this situation, Arthur was having a hot bath with Elmesia.

"I don't wanna hear that from you considering that you and Elmesia-san were bathing together and making out like dad and mom does." Said Rudeus which shocked both Zenith and Lilia.

"Speaking of that...that's my boy!" Shouted Paul as he was reminded of what he ran into and hoisted Arthur in the air as he proceeded to throw him in the air before catching him like a proud father would.
