Aj cracks his knuckles, "At first light the two teams will head out for town. The one staying here will put in a gate to the ridge and start clearing a path. The new house is going to need a perimeter fence just like this one."

River nods, "We'll get started on that. If it's okay with you, I'd like to check out that house with you." He glares at his sister, "I care about surviving this."

Jack scoffs, "Addy just needs time to adjust." He pulls her into his side, she smirks at us.

Not wanting to get into it, I roll my eyes, "Night Jack, River and Locklin."

"Good night." Jack says.

River mutters a good night and studies me a little closer than I've noticed before. Locklin gets up off the chair and kisses my hand, "Good night Rosemary."
