I arrived at school 30 minutes before class starts. It's a bit early and I guess I still have time to drop by the office. Minji should be there.I smiled and held the chocomilk in my hands as I made my way towards the building.
"Hi, gorgeous."
She looked up from her work then gazed at me as I saw her lips form a shy smile. I smiled at the adorable sight and approached her.
"Good morning to you too, Hanni-ya," she says and turned her attention back on the paper she was working on, but my eyes did not fail to catch a glimpse of that tiny blush in her cheeks. It made me giggle as I placed the drink in front of her.
"I was wondering, do you maybe want to hang out this weekend at our place? Dani and Haerin are gonna be working on that project again and... well, it'll be great if you can come, too," I proposed. The blush on my cheeks are surely visible right now. My heart feels like it's gonna burst!
She looked at me for a moment then at the side, as if thinking of an answer. I was just staring at her, anticipating a yes.
"Well... if Haerin is gonna be there, I guess I'm in," she tells me with her signature smile, that smile that makes her eyes turn into a crescent shape.
We talked for a while, well, it was just me flattering her with sweet words and her telling me to stop it. It was satisfying to see her cheeks tinted with a blush. I felt a sense of pride in my chest because of it.
We both headed to the classrooms 15 minutes before class starts.
"You're awfully glowing today," Liz commented as I walked into classroom. The smile on my face was instantly replaced with annoyance as she looked at me with a playful smirk.
"Don't even start right now, Kim Jiwon."
"Yah, I was just telling you that you're glowing. It's because of Minji again, right?" She was once again bombarding me with questions about Minji.
The blush on my face made her laugh boisterously as she pointed at my face. I scowled at her then turned away. She's always teasing me like this, aigoo.
"Why can't you just spill the tea, Pham? I might help you with her. She's been hanging around the music room during vacant times, borrowing the guitar and such," she says.
I turned to her with a surprised expression. Minji? Playing the guitar? And why would she hang around the music room?
"What do you mean? Tell me more."
"Well, I think she's doing an assignment about music because I see her scribbling words in a paper, too. Curious now, eh?" She nudges my arm while wriggling her brows.
I rolled my eyes, "Just spill it."
"I mean, from what I observe, she's writing a song. I took a peek once and she seems inspired by someone," Liz had a knowing look on her face.
I just kept mum about it. Minji could like another person, not me. I shouldn't keep my hopes high because there's a one in a million chance that she'll like me back.
I frowned as I think about Minji liking someone else other than me. I turned away and sighed before muttering, "It's probably not me."
Liz's expression changed from a playful to a confused one. "What do you mean? I can bet that Minji likes you as well."
I sighed again, "Dude, she's everyone's ideal girl. She hangs with other people too, not just me. So there's a big possibility that the muse for her song is some other girl."
