It's Sunday and I've decided to hang out at Haerin's place and maybe.... talk to her about something. I just kept feeling weird these days. Someone has been messing with my mind and I'm not even sure what it means.

I see Haerin getting out from their house, which made me confused. She actually reserves Sunday as our hangout day, so why is she all dressed and such?

"Kang Haerin!" I sprinted towards her. The cat girl's eyes widen when she saw me then immediately averted her gaze. "Yah, you going somewhere? I didn't know you had a schedule today," I stated as I got near her.

"Oh, well, um... unnie, you see, I-I actually--"

"Why are you stuttering? Calm down and then you can tell me," I chucked because she looked like a broken toy frog. Her face then became bright red while looking elsewhere.

"A-actually.... well, Danielle-unnie wanted to hangout with me today," Haerin then looked down. I was surprised. She doesn't usually spend a lot of time with anyone that's not me or Hyein. This one is new.

Anyway, that must be a good sign, no? Because she now interacts with her other friends, in this case, Danielle. The confused face I had earlier was now replaced by a smile directed towards her.

"It's alright, Haerin-ah. You should go and hang out with her too. She's your friend, right?" For some reasons, maybe of embarrassment, Haerin's face became bright red.

"A-are you not mad, unnie? I'm sorry, I only got to tell you now," she looked down. I smiled and ruffled her hair.

"Of course not. And it's okay. Tell me about it later, hmm?"

She beamed at me like a cat and nodded. "Yes, unnie." Then I shooed her away because Danielle might be waiting for her already.

I should ask Hyein instead. Taking my phone out of my pocket, I typed a text to the kid.

To: Hyeinie 🐣
Kid, where are you?
Let's play!

A few moments passed when my phone buzzed.

From: Hyeinie 🐣
Sure, unnie!
You can come over to my house.

It was only a few blocks away from Haerin's house so I arrived there shortly. I just went inside because I'm sure that her parents are out on a date since it's Sunday.

"Minji-unnie!!"

I wasn't even fully in the house yet when I got engulfed in a bearhug. I stumbled back a bit because the kid is taller than me, goodness.

"I can't breathe, Hyein-ah." I struggled inside the hug. She just giggled and pulled me to sit on their couch.

"Let's play Cart-rider, unnie," she suggested with an excited voice.

I chuckled, "But you always lose with that game, are you sure you want that?"

Hyein whined and stomped her foot cutely, "Unnie! I got better already. Hmp!"

"That's just not fair! I was sure I was first place earlier," Hyein flailed her legs on the floor, while I laughed at her.

"I told you you'll lose. You can't beat me with this game, Hyein-ah," I smiled in content.

"I need a rematch, Minji-unnie! I'll be able to beat you this time," she got back to sit on the floor and readied her console.

"We should take a break, kid. We've been playing for an hour already," I said and put the console on the coffee table. Hyein pouts but put down her console as well then took a seat beside me.
