I paced around my room silently. It was late at night, or early in the morning and I couldn't sleep. Whatever I tried I couldn't sleep, and it was always when I thought of that one thing.

"I thought I heard an annoying voice."
"Don't you recognise that annoying voice?"

I sat down and leaned against my bed. Next thing I know Belos is going to say that and destroy myself. Flapjack came over to me and watched as I started to freak out.

"Why do you even want to be with me.. I'm a horrible witch." I made a gesture with my hand to have him go away. I laid down on the floor to think about my voice.

It is annoying.. Just plain annoying. I started to bang my head on the floor as I couldn't process why this never occurred to me.

"I could go on another mission to get more Palisman? Surely that could take my mind off things?" I got up and went to grab my mask and cloak. "Yeah.. I'll do that." Flapjack made a tweet but I ignored it.

"Golden Guard?" I jumped at the scouts voice. "Emperor Belos request to see you."

This late at night? "I'll be there in just a moment. Thank you for informing me!"

I looked at the clock and it read 1:43 it's early in the morning. I finished putting on the cloak and walked to the throne room.

I got in and kneeled in front of Belos. I waited for him to speak but it never came. I stood up and we both just looked at each other awkwardly.

"Hunter, take off your mask, will you?" I took off the hood of the cloak then the mask. I was getting my a bit suspicious at the request but didn't question it. "Do you know why I called you in here?"

"For going to Eclipse Lake when I wasn't supposed to.?" I closed my eyes waiting for a punishment but nothing came.

"No, it's because you're supposed to be asleep. So why are you here?" My eyes widened then I looked down to think of an excuse.

"I-I was finishing up paperwork?." It was an obvious lie but not too obvious.

"Were you now? You see, I wasn't going to call you in originally until I walked passed your room. Hate to say it but you remember the rules."

"But uncle, I can help! I know you said the Titan has big plans for me but if there is nothing for me to do then how will the plans be big?" I spoke to much and now I was irritated by my own voice.

"I understand that, but it's what the Titan says." He took off his mask and placed it down on the throne. I nodded then went reach for my mask. "I'm not done talking with you."

Oh shit.

The talking went on for a while but I managed to nod and shake my head to most of it. Until I realised he was right in front of me.

"Hunter, is there reason for your silence?"

"N-No, I am just.. Uhm.." I thought to what Kikimora and The Owl Lady said about my voice and noticed it again.

"Hunter?"

"Fine.. I don't know how to say this but.. When I went to Eclipse Lake Kikimora noticed me then said something. The Owl Lady also noticed me but also said something similar to what Kikimora said. But it's not that big to worry about!"

"Well it's bothering you so it's something to worry about. What did they say?"

"Oh just something about my voice being annoying, and they're right so I don't know why it's bothering me.." I covered my mouth, I didn't mean to say the truth but it spilt.

"So they think your voice is annoying? And you do as well?" I nodded. "Well all you are wrong about that. There's nothing wrong with your voice. But Kikimora should say that about herself."

I looked at him and cocked a brow. "B-But my voice is annoying.?"

"Hunter, your voice isn't annoying. I've dealt with it since you started talking and you would think that I would hate it by now if it was that annoying."

"Oh.. Yeah.."

"Don't say anything else about how your voice is annoying or bad. Because it isn't."

That memory flooded back to me as I realised what had happened.

"We did it! We saved the Boiling Isles!" Luz said and the others cheered on as I stood in horror.

Belos was a bad person.. But he was my uncle. I couldn't bring myself to hate him as much as they did.

"Hunter? Are you okay?" I heard Willow as she placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Y-Yeah.. Just thinking."

"We know that you see him as your uncle. We can try and make things better, the world will be better but you can't punish yourself for him being your uncle and a bad person." Gus said, I nodded and stayed silent.

There's nothing wrong with your voice.
