Eda's Requiem Aftermath

This is more fluff than angst, like Owl family fluff :)

Luz POV
I was watching as Eda filmed King saying a message for his dad. I had to keep my excitement in for the part coming up next.

"But cranky or not, she's the one who raised me, which is why I'm le..." He started to pull the papers from behind his back. "Gally changing my name to King Clawthorne! Surprise, Eda! Now we're connected for life and there's nothing you can do about it!" The adoption papers showed on the screen.

I saw Eda look surprised as she saw the papers. "Is that what you wanted to tell me this whole time?" Eda took the papers from King to see if it was not a joke.

"And, if you sign here, it'll be official!" I spoke, pulling out a pen and Eda started to cry. "Eda are you okay? Eda, if you keep doing that, I'm gonna cry too!" I started to sob as I hugged Eda and King.

(Time skip to when they get back)

Eda was still crying on the way home as me and King were still hugging her. "You know.. I don't think this is Eda, I think we took the wrong one home..." King joked as he looked at me. I gave a little laugh then looked back at Eda.

"I'm still Eda goofball. I just don't know if I could of ever seen this coming." She patted me and King in the head as we started to land. "But we still need to figure out why you were throwing up a lot." King pointed at me to explain.

"Well at least from what I know, King gets anxious when he sees the water from a high perspective, or just anything from a high perspective. And we were going really fast too." I did a lot of hand gestures to show what I meant. Eda looked between us a little confused but didn't question that much.

"Hooty we're back!" Eda yelled out and then he came.

"How was your trip? Hoot hoot!" He wrapped around all of us and brought us inside.

"Can I say it pretty please???" King and Eda nodded then got ready for a loud noise. "King is now Eda's son!"

Hooty did a dramatic gasp, "REALLY? OH THIS IS SO GREAT WE HAVE TO CELEBRATE!" (This actually rhymes) Hooty left to get supplies? Decorations? I honestly have no idea. Eda ran after Hooty downstairs- When did we have a basement????

"Hey Luz, do you think this will change the way Eda sees me?"

"What? The only thing that will change is her calling you roommate to son. And for me it's still going to be the same." I sighed as I started to go upstairs. "Today was exhausting so I'm gonna try and be asleep. Goodnight King! And tell Eda and Hooty I say that too." I went to my room as I heard Eda and Hooty come back up from the basement.

Conversations erupted when I shut my door and laid down on my sleeping bag. I pulled out my phone to see all the unsent messages I sent to my mom and the ones she sent before I exploded the door. I am truly happy for King and Eda, I am.. But I know it's going to remind me something about me and my mom. I wish she was here with me, but she wouldn't like it here... I curled up in a ball then started to drift off into sleep.

King POV
(Time skip by 10-30 minutes)
Eda carried me in her arms as I started to sleep. She opened a door and set me down on a soft surface. Assuming from the feel it was Luz's sleep cocoon. "Goodnight King." She kissed me on the forehead then moved a little away from me. "Goodnight Luz." She got up from the floor then shut the door. My eyes shot open as I went over to Luz to curl up with her.

She must've been really tired because she didn't even change her clothes or take off her shoes. I tried to take her shoes off without waking her up but I failed. "K-King?"

"How do these things work?!" I quietly yelled then she just laughed as she took them off easily.

"You had the right idea but not the right grip. And I probably should've taken them off before I went to sleep." She looked down at the rest of her outfit and looked a little surprised. "Maybe I was a little too tired... King turn around I'm going to change." I turned around and closed my eyes to give her, her privacy.

I heard a lot of shuffling and some clanks from the uniform. "You can look now." I turned back around and she was wearing her normal sleeping clothes. She sat back down on the sleep cocoon and patted her lap for me to come sit on it. I sat down on her lap and she started to pet me as I fell asleep. "Goodnight King." Is the last thing I heard before my dreams came to me.

I'm apart of a family.

I lied, there's some angst in here. I also am sorry I haven't been updating at all, I've been really stressed about KOSA and the possibility I might not be able to post stuff after that. And I've been really tired recently and whenever I go to sleep I always wake up at 12-3 am. I know it's not your guy's problem so I'll just try to post some more.

Also next chapter is most likely going to be a ship chapter with angst or fluff or both tbh- Anygays byeeeee
