The new wizard

Chapter 1

"But mom" haley groaned at they got up from dinner table when she heard the news. "No haley. It's final. You are going to go to Hogwarts. "But why should I. Why can't I stay here in America" she huffed as her and her mother finished up cleaning the kitchen, putting the food away as her mother began explaining. "Because. You can't learn to stay out of trouble. Honestly I don't know how you got Gryffindor. When everyone else in your family were Hufflepuff...besides your father" she mumbled the last part as she sighed. "Now go pack" she demanded as haley shook her head. "I refuse" haley stated crossing her arms. Her mother sighed, shaking her wand, "I figured" haley mom sighed as she grabbed her wand and did a wave as suitcases appeared in the living room. "You preplanned me refusing" haley asked looking at the suitcases. "I was actually hoping you'd like the idea of leaving" Haley's mom shrugged as she began pulling suitcases out of the house onto the front porch. "Leaving this town sure not the country" haley friend as her mom shrugged grabbing the last of Haley's bags and tossing them into the back of the car. "But I'll start to be good. I promise" haley whined. "You promised that last month...than you went and got a girl locked into the snakes bin at the zoo on a school trip, set a boys hair on fire, and not to mention put spiders in our landlords home. He couldn't live there for a week...and it's only been a week into June. Haley. This will be good for you" she smiled. "I'll be the new kid. The laughing stock. I can't go through that...I'm the one that laughs at the new people" haley groaned as she held her moms hands. "It'll be a good new start. You'll be living with your aunt Trish and uncle CJ" she smiled as haley rolled her eyes. "And they're spoiled rotten child. Hermione" haley shook her head at the thought of the child. "It'll be okay darling. I'll come up and visit and you'll come down on the holidays and tell me all about it. I am hoping you make wonderful friends honey" she smiled as she huffed.

"Now...listen...you're a strong, independent women, you don't need no one and no one needs you. Stick to your lessons, study really hard, and become the most beautiful wizard the wizarding world has ever seen. You are the great Haley Nicole Granger" haley mom smiled as haley scoffed. "Mom I'm only 16...that's a lot of high hopes for a child" she smiled. "Just stay out of Azkaban for as long as you can stand it hun" Haley's  mom smiled as haley chuckled. "Only if you'll come and visit me on visitation days" haley joked back cause her mom to smiled. "Of course I will now let's go. You'll plane will be taking off at three. You won't get to London until 9 o'clock our time" her mom said as they got into the car. "9...pm?" Haley asked as she nodded. "Jesus. A six hour plane ride...mother you cannot be serious. I can't sit still for that long" haley groaned as her mother chuckled. "You'll find away" her mom smiled. The car took off with light music in the back and haley pleaded not to go.

Thirty minutes later, with three hundred hugs and kisses later, Haley's mother left haley at the airport. Haley groaned as she placed headphones over her head connecting it to her new iPhone 14pro max. Her mother gifted her this morning when haley got the news she was leaving home. "This is going to be a long trip" haley mumbled. "Excuse me" a faint voice was heard, she moved the headphone to the side of her head. "Are you haley...haley granger" a voice was heard again. "Behind you" the voice said once again as she slowly turned around. "Yes. I am her" haley mumbled looking up at the man who stood in-front of her. "Hello..haley I'm an assistant at this airport, for first time flyers honestly. This is your first time right" the man smiled. "Yes..I am." Haley said keeping her sentences short.

"Wonderful well, I am delighted to tell you than, my name is Jake, I also went to Hogwarts so I know, and your mom told you me you've got a Knick for getting into trouble is that true." He asked as haley shrugged. "Right we'll, I'll help you with no doing anything you aren't suppose to. Would you like to proceed to check in" he asked as haley nodded.

It took haley and Jake, a totals of 45 minutes to get through security, checking in themselves, and they're luggage, and finding the gate to the plane she was supposed to board. "Oh my gosh" haley groaned. "What's wrong Miss" Jake asked looking up from his phone as the sat down. "It's gonna be ten minutes until they start boarding the plane man" haley huffed. "Well they've got to make sure they've got the correct luggage in the right plane, make sure the plane is fueled up and nothing is wrong engine wise, along with weather check up to make sure we don't hit any bad weather. I'm actually surprised it's not an hour or so long wait" Jake stated as Haley's jaw hit the ground. "An hour" she groaned. "It's ten minutes for us, other people could be two, three, maybe sometimes four hours before they even open the tunnel to think about allowing people on the plane. "Ugh I just wanna get this shit over with" haley huffed as Jake chuckled. She scrolled on her phone, making sure she was logged into all the social media platforms, sliding the headphone back over her head as she clicked onto tiktok.

Scrolling, and scrolling until her thumb felt like it was to fall off. "This is torture" haley grumbled as Jake sighed looking up. "Look now it's only gonna be five minutes, so five minutes has already passed. Tell you what. You wanna play a game" he asked as she raised a brow. "You talk a lot" haley mumbled. "Thank you" he smiled. "That wasn't a compliment" she snorted going back to her phone. He hummed as he looked back up and realized people were starting to line up for the plane. "Come on" Jake mumbled pulling her sleeve to her sweater. She huffed snatching her arm away so he wouldn't touch it, she hates physical contact. "Sorry" he mumbled. "Anyways let's head over to the gate" he pointed as she nodded standing up with him as they grabbed their things headed over to the gate as the lady grabbed there tickets, tearing  apart off and handing them they're tickets back as the boarded the plane, finding there seats, realizing they were in first class, has a privacy screen, ain't with two seats, a tv, some blankets and pillows, and almost like magic, haley went straight to sleep.
