The new wizard

Chapter 24

Haley laid in the bed. Unable to move. Unable to talk. Unable to express anything. She heard the nurse mumbling as she came beside Haley checking her out than leaving. Haley heard the doors flying opening. Wondering what was going on.

Harry and Hermione held onto buckbeak lead as they all ran through the woods. Ending up at the tree. "Now what" Harry asked as Hermione sat down. Harry letting go of buckbeak lead. "Now we save Sirius" Hermione said as she played with the leaves on the ground. Harry joining her.  Bat flew between Hermione and Harry. Some hitting them. "Hermione" Harry said. "Yeah" Hermione answered for him to continue. "Before, down by the lake, when I was with Sirius. I did see someone" Harry stared. "That someone made the dementors go away." Harry explained as Hermione sighed. "With a patronus" Hermione questioned causing Harry to look at her. "I overheard snape talking to dumblebore. According to him. Only a really powerful wizard could have conjured it." Hermione explained. "It was my dad" Harry jumped in before she could even finish her sentence. She said at his answer. "Harry, but your dad's" she started as he cut her off. "Dead I know" he sighed "I'm just telling you what I saw" he explained as it got quiet between them again.

"Look" Hermione said as they stood up seeing everyone coming out from under the tree. They watched as Harry tapped Hermione on the arm. "You see me and Sirius walking off" he asked as she nodded. "That him asking me if I could live with him" Harry smiled causing Hermione to have a smile on her face. "That's great" she said as he chuckled. "When we free him, I'll never have to go back to the Dursleys" Harry smiled. "Harry" they heard Hermione yell as professor Lupin began howling and yelling. Sirius yelling, they watched as pettigrew got away and the fight began. They watched as Lupin looked as if he was gonna hit them as Hermione started howling. Harry pulling her hands away from her face. "What are you doing" Harry asked confused. "Saving your life" she said as she started howling again. Causing him to howl and run towards them. "Great now he's coming for us" Harry sighed. "Yeah I didn't think about that. Run!" Hermione explained than grabbed Harry's arm pulling him with her.

They took off deeper into the woods hoping to lose the beast that was their professor. Only for him to be a few feet away from them. They hide behind a tree hoping they'd be free from him, they heard a howl as they thought he had token off, so they creep around the tree, they're back turned towards the beast as the beast began to slowly walk towards them. He made his way towards the kids as they heard twigs snapping causing them to turn around and see the beast. He stood up on his hind legs as he began walking towards them, snarling his teeth as buckbeak, jumped in between the beast and the tree. Kicking the beast in the head causing whimpers to be heard and the sound of the professor running away.

Hermione and Harry heard the sound of buckbeak as they looked over and saw his wings flapping in the air. Hermione sighed with relief as the wind blew roughly against them. They looked up to see dementors flying over them, at least a hundred of them in the sky.  "Sirius. Come on." Harry said remembering this could be his chance to show Hermione what he saw. They took off running in hand towards the lake, Harry and Hermione went behind a tree as they saw the dementors swooping down going after Sirius and Harry. "Look" Hermione said pointing. "Haley" Harry mumbled as they saw haley standing a few feet from Harry. She looked confused and upset.

They watched confused as Hermione felt scared at all the dementors flying towards them. "Harry this is horrible " Hermione started. "Don't worry. My dad will come. He'll conjure the patronus" Harry hushed her as she watched as her cousin slide down the hill towards Harry as she held her wand in the sky. "Expecto patronum" haley yelled as a huge ball of light was coming out of her wand, it covered all three of them as Hermione chuckled in amusement. "She's amazing" Hermione mumbled to herself. "Just wait" Harry smiled as they heard haley started mumbling to herself. As the light slowly started to dim. "Damnit" they heard her cuss. The dementors went straight to haley, one right after the other. They watched as Hermione felt her stomach turning and twisting in knots.
