Third Person POV.
She woke up to Luke gently shaking her shoulder, a small smile on his face. She rubbed her eyes, letting out a small yawn before climbing out of the car. She looked up, noticing the house she was looking at was unfamiliar. It must be Luke's house.
Luke took her hand gently, chuckling quietly when she jumped. "Relax, love. I'm gonna get you cleaned up." He told her gently, leading her up his front steps and inside his home. A woman appeared with a dish towel over her arm as she greeted Luke with a warm smile.
She turned her attention over to the small girl who was practically hiding behind her son. She gasped, eyes catching a glimpse of Amelia's face. "Oh sweetheart, what happened?" Luke's mom asked, concern written all over her face. Amelia flushed at the attention, her eyes drifting to find Luke's staring back at her with a worried look sitting on his face. "Come with me, we'll get you cleaned up."
Without a chance to object, Amelia was lead up the grand staircase in the front of the house. When they reached the top, they made a swift right turn and slipped into the first door. It didn't take long for Luke's mom to patch the girls small cuts up. "I don't know what happened, but whoever did this should be kept away." She said quietly, looking at Amelia through her lashes.
"I'm Liz, by the way. You are..?" The woman paused, Amelia realizing she was waiting for an answer.
"Amelia." She finally spoke, a blush coating her face as she avoided Liz's eyes. She really didn't want to be questioned right now, the pounding in her head still very much there.
Liz handed the girl two white pills and a paper cup full of water. "Its two tylenol, take them cause with that many blows to the head, it probably hurts." She said softly, Luke popping his head in immediately after. "I'm guessing we will be having a guest tonight, Luke?" Liz asked, a soft sigh leaving her lips.
Luke gave his mom a sheepish nod, her eyes rolling playfully at her son. "I'll go get the guest bed set up, I guess. Then I have to head over to the hospital. I got switched to night shift this week, darling, so you're gonna be alone a couple days. You gonna be okay?"
Luke simply gave her a curt nod, his eyes now flickering over to Amelia, who was staring at the floor with nervous eyes. Liz exited the room, leaving the two teens alone. "You okay?" Luke asked gently, bending down to examine the girls face better now with the light.
Amelia bit down on her lip, giving a nod in return and shot Luke a grateful smile. If she would've had to go home and her mom saw? She'd never let her back out.
Amelia quickly pulled her phone out, texting her mom and lied, saying she and Kris would be staying with Crystal tonight. It was around eleven so she knew her mom was not awake right now, but she'd see it in the morning.
She pocketed her phone, looking up to see Luke leaning against the doorframe now, his phone in hand. "I told Zoey to cover for you if Ashton asks and Kris is staying over at Cal's tonight." He informed the girl, glancing over at her a couple times.
It wasn't long before Liz reappeared with a pair of silk shorts and a shirt to match. "You can wear these, Luke, show her to the guest room. I'll see you tomorrow." She kissed her sons head before heading out so she wouldn't be late for her shift.
The sound of the door closing echoed through the house, Amelia standing from her place on top of the toilet. "I'll just sleep in my clothes. These won't fit me, but please tell your mom I said thank you." She said softly, trailing behind Luke as they both left the bathroom.
Luke lead her deep down the hall, finally stopping at a door and pushed it open. It was a dark blue, posters decorating the boys room as she stepped in and he shut the door behind the two of them. "You can sleep in my bed, I'll grab you a shirt so you have something comfortable to sleep in."
