"How could you allow such a thing to happen." King Viserys asked Sir Harrold to which he got no answer.

"I will have answers." Viserys said raising his voice slightly.

"The princes where supposed to be abed, my king." Sir Harrold replied. Only they weren't, if they had been the Rhaella and Aemond wouldn't currently be getting matching stitches while gripping each others hands when the pain got to bad.

Viserys continued to question his knights to try and put the blame on one of the but in reality no one was to blame other than the children involved. Alicent watched as the maesters sewed Aemond and Rhaella, the young girl flinching as the needle went through her cheek. Her younger brothers watching from the corner is shock.

"They will heal, will it not, maesters?" Alicent asked never taking her eyes of her son and the girl she considered her second daughter.

"The flesh will heal but she will forever have the scar." The maester working on Rhaella told.

"And what of Aemond?" Rhaella spoke for the first time glancing over at her Aemond, everyone's head turning to hear.

"His flesh will also heal. But the eye is lost, your grace." The same said simply as he continued working on Aemond's eye, Aemond squeezing her hand until his knuckles turned white but Rhaella happily accepted the pain if it took some of his.

"What is the meaning of this?" Lord Corlys asked as the doors flew open, out coming Rhaella's grandparents. But after seeing the condition Rhaella was in Rhaenys was quick to her side while Lord Corlys stood with her cousins.

Rhaenyra walked in soon after, with Daemond close behind, calling for her first born son first. She went straight to her boys not even noticing Rhaella's condition but panicking at the sight of Luke's bloody nose. Rhaenys placing a comforting hand on Rhaella's shoulder all the adults in Rhaella's life seemed to do that, Rhaenys knew how her mother's actions effected her and she did all that she couldn't but she couldn't be her mother.

"Who did this?" Rhaenyra shouted and it wasn't until now that she saw the state of her daughter, a slight gasp escaped.

In response there was a overlap of yelling coming from all the children except for Rhaella who knew yelling would get them nowhere.

"He called us-" Luke yelled but was cut of by their grandsire yelling "Enough". Rhaella watched as something was whispered into her mothers ear by Jace, whatever it was caused Rhaenyra to rise to a stand.

"Aemond I will have the truth of what happened. Now." Viserys said making his way down the steps, everome bowing their heads in respect. Rhaella looked over to Aemond giving him all the confidence he needed.

"What more is there to hear? Your son has been maimed, your grand daughter-your heir, has been cut through. Her son is responsible and she has hardly noticed the condition her daughter is in." Alicent analyzed

"Rhaella is strong enough she shall handle it. And it was a regrettable accident." Rhaenyra spoke in a low voice and Rhaella shook her head, she knew her mother would care in the slightest.

"Accident? The prince Lucerys brought a blade to the ambush. He meant to kill my son and likely his sister as well." Alicent exclaimed.

"It was my sons who were attacked and forced to defend themselves." Rhaenyra hit back.

"As well as your daughter but you always seem to forget about me." Rhaella snapped standing up for herself but her mother seemly brushed her off.

"Vile insults were levied against them." Rhaenyra moved forward.
