The sound of Rhaella's heels could be heard against the floor as she swiftly made her way to her parents bed chamber. Although not intentionally Rhaella had received a raven that brought grave news, Her aunt Laena had passed during childbirth. Both she and her child where consumed by the flames of Laena's dragon, Vhagar the she dragon who was the largest in the world.

Pressing her fist against the door Rhaella lightly knocked knowing that the letter would forever change her father.

"Come in." She heard her mothers voice call out. Stepping into the room with her head down she drags her feet toward her father.

"Rhaella, my sea snake whatever is the matter?" Leanor questioned seeing the emotion on her face.

"I'm sorry father, it's aunt Laena." Rhaella said handing the letter to her father.

The next morning Rhaella flew on dragon back to driftmark. Rhaella flew on Starfire who was now as big if not larger than her grandmother's dragon Meleys. Rhaenyra telling her to "ride Starfire as the Cannibal is far to intimidating but bring both along."

Rhaella watched as her aunt's corpse was released into the ocean, she watched as her grandparents tried to stay strong for the sake of her and her cousin while her father weeped as well, she watched as her uncle Veamond implied insinuations about her brother's without quite saying it, and she watched as Daemond stared her mother down the whole event.

Overhead the sound of the Cannibal and Starfire roars were heard for all to hear making Rhaella smile as she saw many shudder at the pair, one of the many reasons Rhaella liked Driftmark was because all dragons were free to fly as the please, and weren't kept in a dragon pit.

Looking to the sky's at her dragons she was approached none other than Daemond.

"Rhaella is it?" He questioned already knowing the answer.

"It is I." Rhaella said curtly still looking at her dragons, having no interest in talking to the man who felt nothing after the death of his wife and surly had interest with her mother.

"How beautiful your dragons are, I'm sure you must know that you are the first to claim more than one dragon." Daemond informed her as if she hadn't heard it for years.

"Indeed I do." Rolling her eyes while Daemon thought he was telling her something life changing.

"You share blood with the seasnake but your also the blood of the dragon. It is plain to see as the nose of your face, you would do well not to forget that." Daemond swiftly walked away leave Rhaella to look back at her dragons only to see that they had now left, looking back down she watch as her mother's eyes followed Desmond as he walked to greet others.

And much like her mother Aemond was watching Rhaella from a far. The young girl still wearing her aunts face, as though it was Laena's young ghost coming back to hunt her family. And Aemond still had the same feelings for the girl he had once known long ago. He wondered about her. Would she still speak highly of even the worse of people? Did she still make friends with the towns people? Did she still enjoy read as much as Aemond still did? Would she still feel the same strong feelings for him?

"We have nothing in common." Aegon whined as he drowned himself in his fifth cup of the day.

"She is our sister" Aemond reminded his brother with a sigh as engaging in conversation with his brother had made him lose sight of Rhaella.

"You marry her than." Aegon grumbled back, taking another sip.

"I would preform my duty had mother only betrothed us but didn't, besides I intend to marry someone else entirely." Aemond said, now done with the conversation and walking away to get a better look at his Rhaella who was now approaching their cousins.
