I woke up to Liam's shuffling. I sat up and looked at the clock. 4 p.m. I  removed my shirt and stared at my bare wrist. I carefully left Liam's bed and walked out into the living room. Niall was passed out on the couch. Zayn was sitting at the table with headphones in and Louis was on his computer headphones in, music blaring. I scoffed. They all just got their soul mates and nothing, absolutely nothing. If I had my soul mates name I would look her up and I would fly to find her. No one noticed my presence so I left and found my way back to Liam's bed. He was still asleep. He had no shirt on and it made me feel a little more at ease. Knowing he was just as vulnerable and as real as me. My eyes caught some black ink on his wrist. I couldn't quite read it. I sat down on his bed and was about to grab his arm but his eyes fluttered open. He smiled and then looked down. He blushed before he pulled on his shirt that was lying a feet inches from his feet.

"Sorry."

"It's fine Li. No need to apologize." I said and he gave me a small smile.

"What time is it?"

"About 4 p.m." I gave a sad smile.

"Any news?" He asked, his eyes flicking to my arms. I sadly shook my head. "I'm sorry Hazza." He said and scooted back on his bed. I sat down and just fell into him. My back on his chest. My head on his shoulder, his head against the wall but his nose ghostly against my neck. I could feel his hands on mine. I gratefully grabbed them and held onto him. His fingers intertwined with mine. It seemed he was the only one in the world who knew I existed and he was the only one who loved me in this moment.

"I love you Li." I said and I felt him squeeze my hands a little tighter for a second before he relaxed again. "You okay Li?" I asked, his sudden squeeze concerned me.

"What? Uh.... yeah, I'm fine." He stuttered. I just ignored it and leaned into him. I could feel his heartbeat against my back. It was beating faster then normal.... Maybe he was worrying about his soul mate. I didn't want to bother him so I didn't say anything. We just sat in comfortable silence.

We sat like that for a few hours. I could feel him drifting in and out of sleep. "Li?"

"Yeah Haz?"

"Promise you won't get mad?" I asked. A lump in my throat.

"Promise."

"Okay, so I have a question."

"Anything.

"I saw some ink on your arm earlier..." I started. I felt his body tense under me, his hands retracted from mine. The lost of contact almost had me whimpering but I held it in. He went completely silent. I wouldn't have known he was breathing if his chest hadn't kept rising and falling. "I was going to read it but you woke up." He relaxed, just a little. "Can I see?" I asked.

"No," he said immediately.

"Is it your soul mate?" I asked, hoping it was but also hoping it wasn't.

"Yes- I mean no, I mean-"

"So it is your soul mate but you don't want it to be?" I asked, guessing that's why he was acting so weird.

"Yes."

"Do you know them?"

"Yes."

"Do you love them?"

"No. Not like that."

"Guy?" I asked, maybe that's why he was asking questions about 'what if my soul mates a guy?' and all that.

"Yeah...."

"Does he have someone else's name?"

"I don't know."
