It's been a full day since the best day of my entire life happened. I got to ask my dream girl to be my girlfriend, AND, she said YES! My love life has been chaotic these past 2 years, and I promised myself that I wouldn't date again until I found the right girl for me. And, I definitely found her. After getting to know Jennifer these past year, I've come to my senses that, she is the right girl for me, and that I cannot let her go. My luck hasn't always been the best, but now that I have Jennifer to rule life with me, I think we can make it possible. *Good Morning Sunshine, hope you have a great day today.* I sent her a good morning text. I wasn't expecting a response right away because it's still early, and she'd still be asleep. About 15 minutes went by, and I heard my phone go off. When I went to see who it was from, I saw that it was from Jennifer, but it was an audio message that she sent. *Good Morning, my lovely Mummsy. I hope you have an amazing, fun day. I love you.* That sweet message just made my entire morning. Since Jennifer is off for the next 2 weeks, I figured I would take the opportunity to spend some time with her. I'm off today from work, so it's just perfect timing.
I figured, since it's still early in the morning, that I would surprise Jennifer and take her out to breakfast. I wanted to take my girl to a special restaurant, so I did my research to find the best breakfast restaurant in D.C. I decided to take her to Founding Farmers DC, one of the best restaurants in the area. It's one of my personal favorites here in D.C., so I figured I would take the most special girl in the world, to my favorite restaurant. I made sure to give her a call to let her know of my plans. "Good Morning my Sunshine, do you have any plans this morning?" I answered. "Good Morning, my love. So far this morning, I don't have any plans. Why, what's up?" She replied. "I was thinking, why don't we go out to breakfast? You know, to celebrate us?" I smiled. "Hmm, I don't see why not. That sounds fun. I'll be ready in about 30 minutes or so." Jennifer said. "Sounds good, I'll see you in a little bit." I replied as I ended the call.
*1 hour later*
Jennifer's POV
I'm telling you guys, I have the most amazing, sweetest, kind-hearted boyfriend in the whole world. I've had two past relationships before Mark, but in all honesty, I've never had any sweeter relationship, more than mine with Mark. Yes, Mark may be a couple years older than me, 7 years to be exact, but honestly, that doesn't matter to me. At first, Mark was really worried about our 7 year age gap. But I told him, age doesn't matter to me, and it shouldn't even matter anyways. All that matters is, that two people in a relationship love each other. That's it. That night when Mark asked me to be his girlfriend, I had told my parents already about Mark & how there's an age gap between us two. And to my surprise, they were all for it. My Dad especially. He knew about my past relationships, and ever since talking to him about how amazing Mark is, he was all for it & super supportive.
The time was about 9:00 am, and Mark should be here to pick me up any minute now. I didn't want to dress too fancy, but also not too casual. So I just went with some classic ripped jeans & a oversized graphic tee, and paired that with my high top Converse shoes. About 10 minutes go by, and I heard my doorbell ring. I go to open the door, and there was Mark, standing there looking super handsome as ever. "Ohh my heck, you are looking more handsome than ever." I smirked. "Why, thank you my love. And you are looking more beautiful than ever." Mark smiled. "Thank you, love." I smiled as I grabbed my purse and walked out with Mark. *25 minutes later* We finally arrived at Founding Farmers. Immediately, I got such a good vibe from this place. "I already like this place. The vibe is truly so cool." I smiled. "I knew you would like this place." Mark smiled. We sat down at a table and began ordering. While waiting for our food, I was truly so admired by how Mark has been so amazing to me, I sweetly grabbed his hand & held onto it. I grabbed my phone and quickly took a picture without him looking. By the time he looked towards me, all I saw was a full-on smile. *Spending this lovely morning with my love(heart emoji)* I captioned the picture on Instagram. I truly had a lovely time eating breakfast with Mark. He took me back to my place & we spent the rest of the afternoon there. While sitting on the couch, Mark was watching his favorite show while I was sitting next to him, resting my head on his shoulder. I ended up falling asleep, and Mark didn't notice until 30 minutes later.
Mark's POV
We went back to Jennifer's apartment & just relaxed for the rest of the morning, into the afternoon. We sat on the couch while I was watching my favorite show, and she was resting her head on my shoulder, holding my hand. 30 minutes have gone by, and she was really quiet. I turned around, and she was fast asleep on my shoulder. If only she could see the look on my face right now, I am all smiles. Luckily my phone was right next to me on my side, so I quickly grabbed it and took a snapshot of my sweet sunshine. *I've been waiting for a moment like this for the longest time. The best feeling ever(heart emoji)* I captioned my picture on Instagram.
I am truly, the luckiest man on the planet right now.
