------September 25, 2021; Wedding Day------
Jennifer's POV
We've made it, guys! It is officially our wedding day! I am truly so excited to finally be married. I don't want to get too cheesy right now, but, I am truly so thankful that I found someone like Mark who came into my life. I've been through some of the darkest things during my past relationships, and it didn't end pretty. But when Mark came into my life, he truly changed everything. Mark & I rented out a couple of rooms in a hotel nearby the wedding venue so we can have our own space to get ready. I spent the first part of my morning sitting on the bed in my hotel room. I just wanted to take some time to myself to reflect on how much my life has changed since Mark came into it.
A couple of minutes have gone by, and I heard a knock on my door. When I opened the door, I saw my maid of honor & best friend Aurora standing in front of me. "Hey bestie girl! I was instructed by Mark to give this to you this morning. See you later." She smiled as I gently shut the door. Aurora handed me a card that had "Love of My Life" written on the envelope. Mark & I decided that we weren't going to say our vows in front of everyone, and just keep our vows to ourselves. So when Aurora handed me the envelope, I knew it was time. I went back to my bed, sat down on the bed & began to open the envelope. When I saw the card, I immediately started crying because I already knew that I wasn't prepared to read the sweet words Mark had wrote. Mark is so amazing at writing things like this, so I was looking forward to seeing what he wrote. The card read:
*My Dearest Jennifer Katherine, this day has finally come. The day has finally come, that I get to make you mine. Throughout these past couple of years, we have been through so many obstacles, some were truly harder than others, but those tough times, helped us get to where we are today, stronger than ever. Thank you for loving me, and loving me for who I truly am. I promise to encourage you to follow your dreams, and to be there for every single step of the process. I promise to make you laugh, when you take things too seriously. I promise to love you until my last breath. I promise to put you first, and to keep putting you first. I promise to keep singing to you, even if they are the most random songs I've ever come up with. Our journey as husband & wife is just beginning, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us. Jennifer, you are the person I choose to spend my forever with. I chose you in 2017, I choose you today, and I will continue to choose you until forever. I love you. Forever Yours, Mark*
The tears couldn't stop coming down my face. I seriously have the sweetest person in my life to spend forever with. I truly cannot thank God enough for blessing me with someone like Mark. I put the card away & began to get ready.
Mark's POV
Jennifer & I decided to book a couple of rooms at the hotel near the wedding venue so we could all get some space to get ready on our own. It's officially our wedding day, and I am truly excited to finally make Jennifer mine. She truly has made me the happiest man on the planet, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to share life with. A couple of minutes went by as I was gathering my stuff to get ready, when I heard a knock on my door. When I opened the door, I saw Jennifer's best friend & maid of honor Aurora standing there. "Hey Mark, Jennifer told me to hand this to you. I'm truly so excited for the both of you. See you later!" She smiled as I gently closed the door. I took a second to sit down & open the envelope Aurora handed me. When I got the envelope open & opened up the card, I could immediately feel the tears coming down my face. The card read:
*My Dearest Mark Ryan, this day has finally arrived. Today is our wedding day, and I finally get to be your wife. When you walked into my life, I knew that love had walked in. It's a moment that I will truly cherish, and I will forever walk with you through life. I promise to love you unconditionally, and give you my undying devotion. You are my dream that came true, and I cannot wait for the family that we get to build together. I can't wait to hold your hand as your wife for the rest of our lives. I promise to encourage you to shoot for the stars, and to reach for your dreams. I promise to be there for you every step of the way. We definitely had our ups and downs, but that did not stop us from growing stronger together. I promise to always keep a smile on your day for all the days to come. Love always starts out as a feeling, and to continue with that, it's a choice. And I will choose you over anything in this world.
