Atsushi's pov:

When I woke up I was in a familiar room it definitely wasn't mine but it was still familiar it was Akutagawa's room I stayed here  once when Dazai forced us to have a sleepover it was a nice day I felt drained and tired despite sleeping for god knows how long

I just sat and thought how I killed a bunch of innocent children from a dumb choice I made it's all my fault the headmaster was right I really am a good for nothing I can't even help people I'm no help at all I found my self saying out loud

I heard footsteps coming towards the room and a few coughs "For the last time Jinko it's not your fault" I just became quite and stared at the ceiling "it really stupid to say it's your fault when we know it was who ever that was behind the camera"he said sitting beside me "why am I here anyway" " we'll I decided to steal you after the whole event happened " Dazai-San  agreed it will be ok for you to stay

"Wow Aku's way nicer today it's weird but i guess I like it" I thought still staring at the ceiling then at Aku "That's not what I meant...I mean Aku I'm  tired  why am I still here if I can't do anything right" Akutagawa tends to always turn soft when he is near someone he liked Gin told me this but I didn't realize it till now for some reason although when he's out in public especially on missions he would act like normal Akutagwa when we are alone he really shows a really soft side to him

"That's ridiculous to say yo saved Kyouka you save Yokohama and many more yes you mess up but it means nothing it's ridiculous hearing from me and even I feel weird saying it but everyone messes up and sometimes it was meant to be"
I laughed a bit "that was corny as hell" "shush it Jinko before I strangle you!" " oh yeah how about you try it!" I got out the bed yelling at him and holding onto his shirt

He pushed me back on the bed roughly then got on top of me then pulling me into a long kiss  then sucking my neck leaving hickeys "ah -ah ~ Aku stop" he pulled away from me getting off of me "you idiot you left marks" he pouted "well if you start going all depressing on me I'll kiss you again" "ugh fine I'll stop blaming myself though it obviously is" he looked at me sharply I laughed "fine fine"

"Anyway I made breakfast if you want to eat with me I'm about to go to work soon" I got up " fine... hopefully you have
Make up or something to cover this up I still have to make it to the agency " I said walking following him to the dining room "hey you can't complain I wasn't as rough as I was last time" I blushed "we don't freaking talk about that" "I remember that day you couldn't even make it to work the next day" he said teasingly "Whatever" I said sitting down Akutagawa always cooks really well for one of the mafias dogs he quickly ate his food noticing he was a bit behind schedule he went to the door then yelled " bye Jinko I'm heading off to work you better stay out of trouble oh and the make up is in my room in the 3d drawer" "ok see you later Aku"

After I was done I began to get ready to head off to the agency while I was walking it seemed like someone was come so I tried to walk faster eventually it seemed like I lost him when I made it into the agency everyone was there except for Dazai which I believe I saw talking to a short ginger that kind of looked like Chuuya but I couldn't see exactly but even if he was I wouldn't be too surprised considering me and Aku's relationship (complicated)

I sat down at my desk and just began to think about yesterday and how all of those children blew up until I was scared out of my thought by Kunikida "Hey kid you alright I was told about your mission " "oh me there's no need to worry I'm alright" "well if you say so just know you did nothing wrong if you want to talk about it I'm always here " "yeah I know Kunikida" "before I catch up on my schedule have you seen Da-" "Kunikida did you miss me~" Kunikida came up to Dazai and slapped him on the back of his neck " You Idiot where were you!" "Ow Kunikida~ I was only on a date~" I sighed and decided to check on Kyouka to 1.get away from the chaos and most of all 2. Get yesterday out of my mind I know dwelling on it is not going to make anything better but it's hard not to and plus the fact I might be getting stalked makes it no better

"Hey Kyouka how are you?" "I heard about you mission are you ok" "oh yeah don't worry I'm ok there is no need to worry " I said guilty of making her worry for no reason "oh well in that case I'm alright I guess" "are you alright you seem paranoid" "oh well it just something weird happened this morning that's all" I heard foot step coming towards me I could tell it was Kunikida "what exactly was it" I sighed "It's just I caught somebody that's most likely stalking me" Kunikida sighed "well if I were you I would pay attention I don't know what you got yourself into" I nodded

Hey I just got some of the victims that is said to be killed by the person we are looking for and the person that likley caused the event from yesterday She put them down  "Well I don't think I see that much of a pattern a few was teachers one was a judge and other simple jobs even some are daycare workers or stay at home mothers or fathers" I took a glance at a few cases  and pulled out 10 of the 30 I was shown "These ones aren't the same cases..." Kunikida looked at me confused "Why do you say that the killing methods match up perfectly it's almost like a signature" "you are right with the last part but the killing methods are not the same who we are looking for killings are more gruesome especially since in most of the cases it shows they were likely tortured before dying and if not they make sure they simply make it even more gruesome than the one's tortured though it seems rare.."

Everyone was baffled to hear Atsushi give a actual reasonable response to something that was not even thought of  there was sudden awkward clapping "wow smart sushi you must be picking up on the whole detective thing!" Dazai said making it even more awkward and embarrassing for me "oh um it was really nothing it was really just a thought that came to mind a plus I guess I'm just thinking harder than usual I just don't want all of those kids death to be for no reason "  "Don't worry Detective Catsushi the one that killed those kids will be found be the one and only Cat-Sushi and the rest of the Detective agency "
