Akutagawa pov:

It's been 2 months since Atsushi's death everyday without him was dull even Dazai changed he's not even making jokes anymore...I've grown closer to the Ada except Ranpo which was still in a deep sleep...Kiara was killed the day before his execution from his body he was tortured then torn limb from limb by the reaper we still never found Atsushi's body it took us a bit but we finally gave up there was nothing giving us were he could be we searched every spot we could in Yokohama and there was nothing nobody even saw anything it's almost like he just never there to begin with...

The reaper hasn't been as active at least we think but all we know is he stopped attacking for a week after Atsushi's death then came back finding Kiara leaving a message written in his blood

Those who have lived in sin will be punished tenfold by my hands and judgment

I've been staying with Gin who has brightened up my days she has always been I wonderful sister boss decided to give me one more month of peace to deal with his death which I only believe it was because my work efforts decreased mainly because it took him 2 and a half months to notice

Other than that everybody was forced to return to normal work it was up until one day...

I was with the agency since we've grown closer over the months especially me and Kyouka I've been taking care of her for a while she has grown more comfortable with me our best times is when we sit with Gin for Figs and tea Gin would always make bunny shaped sugar cookies for Kyouka which I won't admit but cause me to be a bit jealous

Today specifically I brought her some tea and Sugar cookies while everyone worked quietly except Kenji which was actually a good person to talk to although being sad by Atsushi's death he tried to make sure everyone had a upbeat moment here and there we was talking to each other well mostly he talked to me and I listened

"Did you know!Cows-"Kenji was cut off with a the door opening everyone stared to see a woman she looked like she could be in her thirties she had dark brown hair kind of like Dazai's and lilac eyes she had on a dark blue dress she walked in quietly

"Excuse me ma'am did you schedule a appointment..." Kunikida asked staring at the unknown woman "oh I'm sorry sir I did not but I'm simply just trying to look for my son I was told that he was in this area...I just want to see him again it's been years..." she said looking down

Kunikida sighed "ok ma'am just please sit down I will get with you in a second" he said organizing his papers before putting them down and walking over to the lady "alright first things first..." he said opening a computer I couldn't help but listen in on the conversation since I was bored and Kenji was distracted by something "can you please tell be your name..." he said looking at the woman in his always serious manner "oh I am Chiyo Nakajima..." my eyes widened as I heard the last name I noticed everyone paused to stare at the confused mother "how old is your son..." Kunikida said in a voice that seemed shaky almost "he should be at least 18 Atsushi Nakajima..." She said concerned "what do you know him if so please tell me...!" She seemed desperate

I felt guilty sink into my stomach as I stared a the desperate mother "um... we did know your son...he used to work here but was unfortunately killed 2 months ago...I'm sorry for your lost..." Atsushi's mother looked surprised as she looked down Sadi heard her crying until I heard a bang on the table which started everybody

It was Dazai "You can stop your fake crying shit you never cared for your son..." then something clicked a memory of what Francis said on the Moby Dick he said his parents abused him worse then the orphanage... "just what the hell did you do to him..." "wha-what..." she said in a confused voice everyone looked confused at me and Dazai "Why doesn't he look like you miss" Kenji said not getting the mark

Chiyo sighed wiping her face with a cloth "well little boy we had no food when we grew up together-" she was interrupted by Dazai "that is half true..." she let out a scoff "there is really no hiding anything from you is there...fine then the truth is we had n food food was scarce and I didn't care about Atsushi he was just something that I had to keep due to not being able to get rid of due to a lack of money to my name so me and my husband didn't feed him that's why his hair is a weird white his hair was originally like mine but when he got his ability it got better..."

she laughed I felt disgusted covering Kenji's ears with some headphones and let him watch farming videos on my phone...

"One time Atsushi got in a accident where he lost his arm but we noticed it grow back so we did what we needed to do to be able to survive..." She smiled with no shame in her face whatsoever "I'm sure you can figure out what that is..." she laughed "I guess you can say that hunger makes you do things you won't ever expected...we kept him and sold him to others for food so we can get money until that brat ran away..."

Everyone looked shocked at what they heard "my husband mysteriously went missing recently when I came to Yokohama...so I don't think you'll find him anytime soon..." she scoffed Kunikida took out some Handcuffs "Well you can explain that to the court of law when you get there" he said cuffing the women then guiding he her out all she did is have the same disgusting smile

Dazai sat back down "I feel like this reaper may be more mysterious than he puts on but even I can't put my finger on it...it's like finding one puzzle piece without the rest..."

AN:hello dear people I just wanted to say I might slow down on stories due to me starting school soon but I will try to continue putting up chapters and books until then I honestly don't know how this# year is going to go so I wanted to inform you guys if anything anyway have a wonderful rest of your day or night and be sure to take care of yourselves!
