Atsushi's pov:

It's been weeks since Ranpo has been missing and everything just seems dull now especially with Yasano and the president which hasn't stopped looking for him but personally I know it's hopeless I mean I doubt or at least hope he's not dead but I know it's going to be nearly impossible to find...

Akutagawa's pov:I looked at Atsushi as I laid next to him reading a book he looked dazed and out of it for the past weeks he's been struggling from bad headaches and from what he describes to likley be hallucinations he says to have seen himself talking to him which is concerning

He just to seem to stare at the wall or ceiling all day his eyes like he was dead he's not even himself anymore...I miss his eyes that seemed to shine like pearls and the smile that seemed to greet everyone with happiness...he doesn't even talk to Kyouka anymore...

He doesn't eat,talk or even sleep he tries to sometime but I can tell it not real not one bit of it is...

It's like he's just

Gone

I put the book down on the nightstand then grabbed my phone to see a text by Kyouka that she is cover to check on Atsushi ever since Atsushi's mental break she moved into a apartment next to Dazai's and lived in he same apartment building

I tapped his arm and he looked at me "Kyouka's coming over ok she's been worried about you" I looked in his dull purple and yellow eyes "ok" he says dully then looking back at the ceiling

I sighed then got up to clean the house leaving him to his own thoughts

Atsushi's pov:

I stared as I saw a clone of my self in the corner it was just me with my usual work outfit the only thing different was my eyes the pupils was a sharp almost diamond shape like a animal

It walked to me "why are you laying there like an idiot get up" it's sharp eyes looking into mine in its eyes looked pure evil full of hatred,vengeance towards everyone in the orphanage the kids the headmaster the caretakers everyone...

I closed my eyes trying to ignore the whispers of hatred until I heard the room door open I opened my eyes for him to be gone I saw a Kyouka holding a book and some food she put it down on the nightstand before hugging my arm causing me to look at her

Her eyes and her face...it looked like she'd been crying for hours her eyes bright and full with sorrow the morning sun shining on her shiny black hair

"Hi Atsushi I missed you" I looked at her and tried smile at her but it seemed not to work "it's ok you don't have to fake it I'll still be here for you" she smiled at me her smile seemed pure and full of kindness

She grabbed the bowl from the table along with a spoon which was placed neatly on top of it "I learned how to make tea on rice and I wanted you to try it I tasted it and it taste good to me but I know you like it so i wanted to make it for you"

I didn't want to eat but I couldn't help but feel guilty if I denied especially with such innocents and kindness towards me  I grabbed the bowl on my lap sitting up then opened the still hot food blowing in my face the thought of eating disgust me but I still ate some of it it felt awkward me awkwardly eating and her happy face getting happier each time I took a bite

I placed the still warm bowl down next to me "I'll eat the rest later..." I knew I wouldn't but I didn't want her to be sad so I felt compelled to say what I did "ok as long as you eat..." I saw him again standing at my side of the bed staring in my face not saying a word

Kyouka took a book from off the nightstand "I can read this book it's one of my favorites..." she went on about how  it was about something like a bunny I think

I couldn't think with him staring at me his warm breath on my face the feeling of vengeance and hatred coming from him...

"Are you listening?" Kyouka said staring at me with a worried expression "yes just tired..." she sighed "well I can come back another time..." she said closing the book "Akutagawa is at the store right now if you was wondering so stay safe and get some rest ok?" I nodded his face seemed to get closer to me so I laid back down

She walked out the room closing the door behind her now it was just me and him...it felt cold and empty as his eyes glared into what felt like my soul

I heard the door downstairs open then gunshots

I got up feeling like I was going to cry if I saw anything happen to Kyouka 

I couldn't lose her

She was the only one with faith in me

She gave me faith

I tripped down the some stairs trying to rush downstairs as I looked down stairs to see many men wearing olive green cloaks and mask outside entering the house

Kyouka tried to attack them with demon snow but she disappeared my eyes widened as they shot her in her stomach dodging her knife attack me being only inches away from blocking it she fell into my arms tears fell out of my eyes as  many more surrounded us they was fast it seemed like they multiply or teleport...

She tried to get up but I pushed her down begging her to stay put she eventually fell back down looking in my eyes I felt a gun press against my head

I got up guns still surrounding us and put my forehead to the gun "if your going to kill her take me with her" tears flooded out my eyes they stood there "FUCKING DO IT!" The guy holding the gun to my head finally spoke his voice deep from a voice changer

Nobody pov:

Kyouka held onto her stomach stopping the bleeding as she saw Atsushi get up and scream at the people but that's when I sensed

blood lust

"I'll only let the girl live if you-"

"ATSUSHI NO!"

Atsushi slashed the guy's throat then watch him fall his face full of rage Kyouka's eyes widened  as she saw Atsushi kill the man now all the guns was on him but even before she could say anything a bunch of men the men were down some of the men's limbs were amputated others was sliced open it was basically a bloodbath

There was one more man left and he tried to run out the door before Atsushi grabbed him by the throat Kyouka watched as the man's feet dangled from the floor and Atsushi's empty look

Kyouka grabbed Atsushi's leg a started to plead him to stop "Atsushi stop please this isn't you please!" Tears flooded out her eyes as she eventually saw the man's head fall to the ground and then his body Kyouka's eyes widened she couldn't believe it Atsushi snapped

"Let's go" Atsushi said putting his arm out before he swiped at someone else but a man in olive green dodged his attack then shot him in the back making him fall to the ground "no wait!" Kyouka tried to get up but it only made her bleed more and she fell to the ground watching the man take Atsushi

After a while Akutagawa came back

"What the hell"he said dropping his bags  "who did this..." he said sitting Kyouka on a bench near his door
