I looked at the clock 6:30am, a small grin appeared on my face as I thought to myself that this is when my daily routine would start all over again. The grin disappeared all most instantly because I realised my routine will never be the same again. I'm alone in the room, but the feeling that I am being watched is always there. I stare at my hands which are resting on the table in front of me. Kate's blood is still on my hands and is now dried in.
I turned my head not able to look at my hands any longer. Then I noticed a mirror on one of the walls. It wasn't like a normal bathroom mirror, no this mirror was the length of the whole wall. That's when I remembered what it was for. I looked at a film before and a man was being questioned in a room just like this and had a similar mirror, the police were in the room next to him watching him through the mirror without the man knowing because the police could see the man through it , but the man couldn't see the police back through it. That would also explain why I feel like i'm being watched. Suddenly John entered the room, but didn't sit down.
"Made yourself comfortable yet?" he asked but I noticed there was a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
"When can I go? what do you's want from me?" I asked restlessly.
"Hey, we will ask the questions, now shut up or i'll put your sorry ass behind bars" John said getting angry and slamming his hand on the table in front of me.
Everything suddenly became quiet. John sat down in the chair in front of me and stared at me, which made me very uncomfortable. I watched the clock. Time was passing slowly, but the ticking noise from the clock soothed me. John must of became bored as well because he began flicking on and off the table lamp that was next to him. I've never liked the dark especially as a child. Usually you grow out of this with time, i'm 36 so I guess that never happened for me. Finally John left the lamp alone, but what puzzled me was wondering what we were waiting for?
