After the pair had woken up, unfortunately, they learned their vacation was cut short. All the hashiras were immediately summoned to the masters mansion for an urgent meeting. Once the hashiras had arrived at the masters estate, they began to discuss a very important topic. The slaying of Muzan and the destruction of all demons. It wouldn't be easy, but Muzan was getting increasingly close to finding the main base of the demon slayers, and if that happened, they would be put in jeopardy. The hashiras estimated that they had around 2 years to train their bodies to their full potential and even more, as they needed to be as strong as possible. Because of this, all of the hashiras began to focus only on mental and physical training, mastering their techniques, making sure they train their bodies to be at their peak. Because of this, the close bond between Sanemi and Giyuu slowly faded away, of course, it didn't go back to Sanemi hating Giyuu, but rather Sanemi and Giyuu simply didn't communicate on close terms anymore, as they were too busy in trying to train to make sure they executed their job properly. After 2 years, just like they suspected, Muzan arrived at the masters estate. The hashiras immediately began attacking Muzan, making sure that Muzan didn't get to harm any people. Eventually, after long hours of fighting, Muzan was eventually defeated, and all the rest of the demons faded away. Of course, this didn't come without losses. Although no hashiras were lost, many lower ranked demon slayers died in the fighting, and the hashiras themselves were all injured, some were severely injured and some only had minor injuries. However, the world was now a safer place with no demons. It took the hashira a while to recover, but after a couple of months they were all back and functioning.

Sanemi was walking down the hallway of the butterfly mansion, now healed from his injuries. Giyuu, also walking down the hallway, was going to visit Shinobu, as she was still in her final stages of recovery. However, the two of them stopped whenever they saw each other in the hallway. "Shinazugawa." Giyuu said, looking at Sanemi with a bit of light in his eyes, almost as if he was hoping Sanemi would do something. "Tomioka...how have you been? It's...been a while ever since we last spoke closely..." Sanemi replied, a small blush forming on his face. "Ah, I've been good, and I know it's been a while...but hey, at least we're all here you know?" Giyuu said, smiling softly. "Yeah, that's true...but uhm..." Sanemi said, walking up to Giyuu and taking his hands and holding them. "...would you like to hang out? I know a place...we can talk like we used to..." A blush coated Sanemis face, but he didn't look away, hopeful that Giyuu would be willing to reform their relationship. Giyuu smiled, a blush coating his face as well. "I'd be happy to, Sanemi." Sanemi smiled, and said. "Meet me at my estate around 4:30 pm. I'll be waiting for you, Giyuu." The two then cupped each others faces and kissed each other, now finally able to live their lives in peace.
