Hola! I'm gonna try something new this time and do the story from someone else's perspective - Arven!
Arven: Mwhahahaha! I have stolen the show! Wisp shall no longer have the spotlight! I AM THE PROTAGONIST!
Nemona: When's it gonna be my turn? :(
Me: Your time will come...
Nemona: YAY! :)
Me: In the distant future!
Nemona: Aw, come on!
Arven: You don't have the right to steal the show! You're already popular enough! Let others have their time to shine! It's a life lesson, * whispering* which you obviously haven't learnt.
Nemona: Oi, I heard that! I'm not deaf!
Me: Calm it, people! My feline clan want to read the story and not listen to your endless arguments! *to you* Enjoy!
I didn't even think before I ran after the... well... Pokemon? Human? If only she'd tell me. Looking ahead of me, I could see that she was slowing down - the battle must have been painful. She came to a stop and collapsed onto the grass, almost like she was sunbathing.
"Wait there!" I shouted after her, causing her to turn around and carry on moving, slower than before. I sprinted faster, closing in the gap. She turned her head and saw me still chasing her, which fuelled her to run even faster, which wasn't by a lot. Eventually, I caught up to her. She was standing crouched, with her hands on her knees. She immediately stood up straight and started to back away when I approached.
"Whoa, take it easy..." I fumbled with my words. Should I say 'girl'? What even is she? It? They? "You shouldn't tire yourself out too much." I said, moving my hands to put them on her shoulder. She swatted them away like flies and edged back. "Ouch!" I yelped in pain. I still persisted, and tried to move my hand to her back, to direct her the right way, but she just side stepped.
"Come on. You have to listen to me. I know I'm a stranger and we're both clueless, but you've got to trust me." I tried to slip my arm under hers, to carry her, but I was too hard to do as one person, and she wouldn't even let me anyway.
"Please, reason with me." She stepped back every word I said but I didn't bother moving - that would come across as intimidating and that was the last thing I needed right now.
"Deep breaths Arven, deep breaths." I said to myself. "What would make you more comfortable around someone? What would you want them to say?"
I opened my eyes and looked at her. "It seems that you don't like humans, or maybe you just don't like me. Which one is it?" No reply. I decided to ignore and carry on. "I won't hurt you. Promise."
I seemed like what I said had some sort of value to her because she looked at me. In the eyes. "Ok."
She spoke! To me!
"Right," I said, trying to not spoil the moment with my excitement, "we need to get you feeling better. Can you walk?" She tried to, but it ended up in her losing her balance. I rushed over to catch her. "So, you're going to need some support walking then. Ok. I can do that. So, we're going to take you to..."
"No! Don't take me anywhere!" Her eyes watered as she spoke.
I sighed. How am I going to get her to go to the Pokémon Center? " I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." I so badly wanted to give her a tissue, but she wouldn't have appreciated it. "Err...Could you change how you look or something?"
She looked thoughtfully at the ground and wiped her eyes, before looking at me with a cheeky grin. "Disguise is my thing. Give me a comb." She held out her hand and I gave her a comb. "Pin, please?" Nemona threw one at her as she finally caught up with me and the girl.
