Hi cat fanatics! Welcome to another chapter of HalfHuman! I've been tasked with cleaning up the mess of the food fight without using my literacy powers, so I'm kind of sad. I doubt you'd want to hear me humming as I mop the floor, so you can get on to reading.
This is still from Nemona's perspective for a bit, until I change it.
Katy: Mop faster!
Me: Yes Sugarbug. Don't listen to us. Just read your chapter.
Katy: What did you say?
Me: Nothing Sugarbug.
Katy: Then clean the place up!
Me: Yes Sugarbug. *mouths* Read the damn book already
"What do you want? Can't you see that I'm busy?" Raven glared at him with cold eyes and I wondered if all the doubting that Arven was doing was actually going to be true. No. Of course he's wrong. Him and Raven still need to get together, after all.
The Squakabilly that was perched on her shoulder squawked something in her ear, and she barked something back in Pokemon. The Squakabilly seemed really persistent, because it was still squawking. Even a Gimmighoul and Arven's Koraidon started to join in and she just barked at them.
She turned back to Arven. "Right, everyone's barking and squawking at me to say this so... I'm sorry. Okay? You happy?"
Arven just looked at her confused. "For what?"
"For...shouting at you..." and then she barked something at the Pokémon surrounding her, to which they rolled their eyes at, "and taking Koraidon without asking you first." She barked something louder at the Pokemon, and they ganged up against her to say a torrent of stuff that I couldn't understand.
"You're not sorry, are you?" Arven sighed. "It's fine if you don't want to forgive me. You... have the right. I took out my anger on Koraidon."
"Tru..." her words were cut off by Koraidon, who seemed to be attempting to reason with her. She paused after the ancient Pokémon had finished talking to her, then her face softened. "Okay, I am sorry. I shouldn't have lashed out at you. I... took out my anger on you." My heart skipped a beat at the word you. That three letter word was all the evidence I needed. I was a matchmaker and they were my guinea pigs. They were destined for each other, I just needed to prompt them.
You could call it speeding up the process if you'd like, but I don't think so. Alright, it is speeding up the process, but I can't wait! I have not seen a kiss is ages and my brain is tired. I need something to spur me on to life, and these two are the solution! They are made for each other! They are like watching a romance movie!
"To be honest, I've never really shouted so much at anyone so, I kind of just let it all out on you. I shouldn't have."
"You know," I started, "you should go into acting. Your face when you were shouting shouting at Arven was sca-ry! Your eyes were bulging and everything!"
"Her eyes were fine Nemona. They looked as pretty as ever. Beautiful shade of hazel."
The girl seemed to be blushing, but I couldn't really tell. It was as if she wanted to blush, but she physically couldn't.
"Err... thanks. No-one said anything about my eyes. I just thought it was an ordinary pigment, and then my pupil. I think your iris looks nice as well. Nice shade of blue. It's almost like looking into the ocean." Arven just nodded.
You see reader! I cannot stress the truth anymore! I would swear about how obvious it is, but mi mama wouldn't approve of my language. Bottom line, they aren't even made for each other - they are for each other! Arceus made them for each other! He had Arven in mind when he made Raven, and vice-versa! You can't have Raven without Arven and you can't have Arven without Raven! They are the ship of this book! Believe me!
