It's been almost a week since Jack's mom, one nurse June Darby, had found out about the bots and it had been interesting to say the list. She had arrived at the base using her car and it shocked everyone because no one thought that she would stop by. "Mom, what are you doing here?" Jack asked when his mom had gotten out of her car. "Could I not visit my son and his friends after work?" Nurse Darby asked her son. She greeted the bots that were already at the base which were Ratchet (who rarely leaves the base much to Nightshard's dismay), Nightshard (who was in charge till Optimus came back from patrol with Bee), and Arcee. Nightshard smiled at the mother and son remembering that she never had the chance to have a relationship with her carrier. "Hey Uncle Ratch, I know that this might be a touchy subject but what were my creators like?" Nightshard asked as she sat on a box near her uncle who was working on the computers. Ratchet looked over at his niece knowing that she or her brothers never had a chance to get to know their creators.
"I know that you and your brothers never had a chance to get to know them but to answer your question you and Bee do remind me of your sire Diesel," Ratchet said with a smile knowing that it was true. Ratchet knew that the siblings had their moments when they acted like their creators mainly Nightshard acting like her sire when it comes to putting others before herself. "You make sure that everything runs smoothly while Optimus isn't here?" June asked Nightshard after her conversation with Ratchet had finished. "I try too but sometimes I have help from the others mainly Arcee and Ratchet," Nightshard said with a smile. Arcee and Ratchet knew that Nightshard had been Optimus' Second-in-command since the start of the war and Ratchet smiled with pride knowing how much Nightshard had proven her worth in the position. "If you don't mind me asking do you have any family on the team and give or take how old are you in human terms?" June asked wanting to know more about the bots without crossing any lines. "Ratchet is my uncle and Bumblee who isn't here at the moment is my older trinemate, or older brother in human terms, to answer your first question. To answer your second one give or take I would be around 22 or 23 but no older than 24 if I were human," Nightshard said. It was at that moment that June realized that Nightshard, Bumblebee, and Arcee were the youngest ones on the team with Ratchet and Optimus being the oldest on the team in terms of ages. The rest of the humans on the team knew this already by talking to the bots over the near year that they had known each other.
After that conversation, Miko, Raf, and Bulkhead arrived from offroading earlier day which was something that Miko and Bulkhead enjoyed when they had the chance on the weekend. June said hello to the trio and Miko commented on wanting the base to be a secret between the human kids again. "Night have you seen Bee?" Raf asked his friend who was his backup guardian in case Bee couldn't do it for whatever reason. "He went on patrol with Prime and should be back later today if nothing comes up," Nightshard honestly said with a smile. Raf loved hanging out with Nightshard just as much he does with Bee along with listening to her stories about being a rescue bot before the war. Nightshard loved Raf as a brother or a nephew with how much Bee loved him as his own and it was something that she had to get out of her brother when the kids had done the train stunt when they met M.E.C.H for the first time. June and Arcee had gotten into a bit of an argument when Ratchet had picked up a signal from the middle of the desert. Bulkhead had been asked to go out to get it and Arcee said that she was going with him making it a duo mission.
"Did I say something wrong?" June asked looking at the groundbridge after it closed. "Sorta but don't let it get to you Arcee had been protecting Jack since the kids joined the team so she kinda took somewhat personally that you don't completely trust her on that front," Nightshard said knowing that one wrong word could cause a bigger conflict. During the mission, Bulkhead and Arcee found out that the artifact that they found had been found by Archind and Breakdown and they were fighting over it. It also didn't take long for Arcee and Bulkhead to get magnetized together so they had to get creative in their fight with the two cons. "So if the cons get their hands on that thing what does it mean for the bots?" Jack asked looking at the two bots still at base. "Easy shield for Buckethead by using it to push us away magnetically," Nightshard said with Jack, June, and Raf getting the idea. Nightshard had told Ratchet that she would get the medbay ready in case they had to check over the pair when they got back from the mission if the polarity gauntlet had messed with their system in ways that they couldn't see at the moment. During their second fight with the Archind and Breakdown, the effects of the gauntlet wore off so it was now a one-on-one fight with all the bots involved having more room to move. It was something that Arcee was glad for because she was no longer on Bulkhead's back and having difficulty with fighting Archind beforehand.
When everything was over, Bulkhead and Arcee returned to base with the gauntlet in hand, and Breakdown and Archiind faced the same fate as the two Autobots as they returned to the Nemesis.
