Omega Keys

"Message from Alpha Trion?" Night asked knowing that there has to be a reason. The entire team looked at Optimus as the sword still glowing not sure to be concerned or take it as is. When it was over, Ratchet made sure that Optimus was okay when he fell on his knees when he came out of the trance. "I had received a message from my old mentor," Optimus said. Smokescreen had the nerve to ask if Alpha Trion had asked about him to which both Arcee and Nightshard gave him a look. "What was the message?" Bulkhead asked wanting to know what it was about. "It is important that we recover the last four Iacon relics: the Omega Keys," Optimus said as he walked to the computer. "Keys?" Arcee asked. "To what?" Ratchet asked as well. "To the regeneration of our home planet," was all that Optimus said. That shocked everyone because they didn't expect to find something to revive Cybertron. Optimus went over to the computer to start decoding the Iacon database to get the location of the first key. Everyone started to talk about going home for the first time in eons remembering certain things. 

"Pack your gear. We're going back to Cybertron," Bulkhead said. : I can't believe it: Bee said. "Well believe it now Bumblebee," Ratchet said. Smokescreen said that he had just gotten there and Arcee mentioned that she was going to soak in an oil bath for an entire solar cycle. Smokescreen asked Optimus about how the Omega Keys would revive an entire planet and it was something that Nightshard wanted to know. Optimus gave them a vague explanation that the power of the ancients has been lost to the ages and would be seen as magic compared to modern science. "I think I read about the Omega Keys once during my time at the Hall of Records but it has been a while," Night said. Smokescreen looked at his sister remembering what Megatron said earlier about her working at the Hall of Records. "Megatron mentioned that you worked at the Hall of Records before the war," Smokescreen said wanting some answers. Everyone looked at Nightshard but they knew that she worked at the Hall when the Rescue Force had been disbanded. "Alpha Trion brought me under his wing when the council disbanded the Rescue Force so I worked as an archivist recording their recent history at the time. As a result, I came into contact with the relics one way or another but it's more their history," Nightshard said. Ratchet and Optimus knew that Nightshard had worked with a few of the relics, one of which was the Hammer of Solis Prime.

"So you're familiar with most history of most of the relics that we have secured," Smokescreen said. Shay laughed at her brother before nodding in response. "Shay, what will you do once we're back on Cybertron?" Bulk asked looking over to the grondflyer. "Restarting the Rescue Force is my plan once we're back though after that I have no clue," Night said knowing that was the one thing she wanted to do once the war was over. "Having the Rescue Force back in service is going to be a huge help with everyone coming back," Arcee said pointing out the benefit of the return of the organization. "Especially when the RF had trained law enforcement though I would like to talk to Prowl about that if he's still alive out there," Night said knowing that it was something she needed to do. Everyone knew that the Rescue Force had trained law enforcement which helped regular law enforcement when they needed. During the celebration of having a chance to go back, everyone realized that they have to leave the family that they made on Earth. "Gonna miss this planet when we leave but we are going to have the memories that we made with our friends," Night said with a smile.

Optimus was deciphering the Icaon Database trying to get the first Omega Key. When he had decoded the first set of coordinates which was in Egypt he knew that he had to send Arcee with Smokescreen to retrieve the relic. "Arcee, you and Smokescreen will go and retrieve the relic," Optimus said as the pair got ready to bridge out to Egypt. "Yes Sir I mean Ma'am," Smokescreen said after Arcee said something to him. Nightshard knew that Smokescreen had been trying to get his things together but still had the idea that he could be a hero and great warrior. "I'm worried about Smokescreen," Nightshard said still looking at the groundbridge. "Worried about what?" Ratchet asked. "His idea for trying to be a hero and sooner or later that's going to get him killed," Nightshard said. Ratchet knew that his niece would always worry about her family and friends which was something that he knew that she had gotten from her carrier. It was something that Lightfall had as well which her in-laws knew that she could and would use against them more so with Ratchet. "We both know that Smokescreen can handle himself but he has to learn that he can't be a rookie forever," Ratchet said. It didn't take an hour and a half for Arcee to call for a groundbridge and it sounded like something happened. 

When the groundbridge started up, Arcee was the only one who walked through, and that alone got Nightshard concerned. "Where's Smokescreen?" Nightshard said worried about what happened to her oldest brother. "Megatron took out Smokescreen," Arcee said trying to not make eye contact with Nightshard and Bumblebee. The siblings looked at each other knowing that they didn't feel anything from Smokescreen but it could also be a delayed reaction from how long they have been separated. 'There could still be a chance that Smokes could still be alive right?' Night asked Bee. Arcee had told everyone what happened down to the point that Megatron had a new arm and both Bee and Bulk walked straight to the groundbridge. "No I will not risk another life tonight if Arcee says that's true so I will go alone," Optimus said. Ratchet started the groundbridge up once again to send  Optimus to Egypt to face Megatron alone. Once he got there, he saw Megatron standing in front of him with the Omega Key between them but the first thing that he noticed was the arm. "Megatron, what have you done?" Optimus asked referring to the arm. Megatron had told him that since he had the Forge and his new arm he had created a sword that was equal in power to the Star Saber.

As both leaders started their duel, they saw that they were on equal footing till Megatron broke the Star Saber. Optimus was shocked that Megatron had a weapon that could break a relic of the ancients and all he had in his hands was the hilt. "I will put your head next to my prize," Megatron said with the Dark Saber above his head. "You mean this prize?" said a voice near them. Optimus looked over where the voice was coming from and saw that it was Smokescreen alive with the Omega Key in his hand. "How?" Megatron yelled before Optimus sucker punched him. The fight started up again and in the process, Megatron sent another wave of energy at the two Autobots but didn't expect Smokescreen to use the phase shifter. "Ratchet, I need a groundbridge," Optimus said through the comms. A groundbridge opened in front of them with Megatron running behind them on the attack. When they entered the portal, it closed behind them leaving Megatron in the dust that he lost the relic to his enemies once again. "What happened?" Ratchet asked when he saw his leader walking back into the base. His question was answered when everyone saw the shattered Star Saber and with Optimus saying that the balance of power had now shifted to the Decitpticons. 

Once Optimus stepped aside, everyone saw that Smokescreen was alive and okay when they thought that he had been killed. Nightshard was the first one to react to seeing her brother okay by giving him a massive hug. "If you do that again, I will kill you so sibling bond be dammed you hear me," Nightshard said once she let Smokescreen go and shoved him in the chest. Smokescreen gave his sister another hug knowing that she needed to ease her worry but now he knew that she would keep her promise.  "I try not to but you and Bee knew that that was a chance that I was still alive didn't you," Smokescreen said with his helm on top of his sister's. Bee also hugged him as well knowing that he would also kick his brother's tailpipe to the Allspark if needed. "What happened back there?" Ratchet asked. Smokescreen told the team everything that when Megatron had sent the energy wave at both him and Arcee it had triggered the Phase Shifter and sent him through a wall so when he came to he didn't know how long he was out. "So when I had got outside, I saw Megatron and Optimus in a thrown-down so I took a chance on getting the Omega Key," Smokescreen said as he finished his story. 

"That's something but now we have an Omega Key in our possession," Nightshard said looking over at the key. Smokescreen had gotten to keep the phase shifter calling it his signature but Bulkhead mentioned that Optimus had just lost his. Everyone knew that Optimus had spent almost the entire war without a signature weapon.
