The Guard, The Scout, and The Wrecker

The Hunt Begins

Once everything had been set up at the new base, so everyone had started to get into a rhythm with how they worked with each other. Nighthard, Ultra Magnus, and Prowl started to lead Team Prime while Optimus had been out to find a new vehicle mode to scan and to get a head start on finding out what the Decepticons have been doing since the fall of Darkmount.  Out of the trio, Nightshard has the most experience when it comes to leading the Autobots in Prime's place since the start of the war. Elita-1 can see that has taken its toll on Nightshard just as much as it has on Optimus though from the time that she has spent on Earth, she could see that Nightshard had been trying to lighten everyone's load as much as she could. It was the same thing that Ratchet noticed for a while since Optimus had lost his memories after the battle against Unicron where she led the team the best she could given the circumstances. It was the first time since the First Siege of Iacon that Nightshard had to lead the Autobots and it was also the first time that Arcee, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead saw her lead the team like she had at that time. Ratchet knew that it would seem hypercritical of him to tell her to take time to relax and sometimes eat because he often does the same thing even Optimus does this as well. The rest of the new bots that had joined the team just before the attack of Darkmount saw how much stuff the team had to use in terms of human technology to fight the cons but were glad that they at least brought a lot more energon and weapons. 

"Groundbridge is stable," Raf said before Ratchet opened the groundbridge to let Ultra Magnus, Prowl, and Wheeljack come through. Wheeljack was the last one to come through with the Lob Ball that was at the old base so when he came through he threw the ball straight at Bulkhead. After he did that, the ball bounced off Bulkhead's chest and went straight toward Miko but Jack pulled her towards him before the ball. That started a whole argument between Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack about what Wheeljack had just done while Nightshard was about to step in if the argument went straight into a fight between the two. That didn't happen with Wheeljack walking off to breathe but everyone knew that Magnus and Wheeljack never had the best relationship especially after Magnus took control of the Wreckers. "Sooner or later they have to figure out how to work together without fighting," Ironhide said looking at where his son went. "I've been hoping for the same thing but still haven't found a way to make them work together other than giving them orders," Shard said to her uncle. Ultra Magnus knew that Nightshard had to be the one to break them up many times but after that argument, his spark hurt because of his spark pull towards Wheeljack. 

Ultra Magnus pov

"A lead I hope Energon," Ratchet said after I asked what Optimus was doing at the moment. It wasn't long for Optimus to return with news, considering the Predicon we faced during our attack on Darkmount. "Considering that Shockwave is now in Megatron's ranks but Optimus' right we could have a beast war if this plan goes through," Nightshard said. I knew that she would know about the history of the Predicons from her time at the Hall of Records but her job was to record the history of the Rescue Force and go through the history of the Iacon Relics more so when it comes to the 13 original Primes. "We have to become Beast Hunters," Optimus said knowing that if we could get those bones Megatron wouldn't have this new army.  It was something that we knew that it was something we had to do which meant that we had to reorganize some of the teams with new members of the team. The Wreckers are Wheeljack, Bulkhead, Nightshard, Ironhide, Kup, and myself. Bumblebee, Smokescreen, Arcee, Hot Rod, Elita-1, and Prowl make up the Stealth team. Both Optimus and Dreadwing help when needed though Dreadwing and Nightshard make up the team's airsupport.

Nightshard pov

"Still trying to find a way for Ultra Magnus and that cousin of yours to work together without them going for their throats," Uncle Dreadwing said to me when he found me taking a breather from the chaos. "I've been trying to find a way for them to work together since they met outside of a mission," I said. That was something that's been going on since the war started but it's not been great. "You will find a way but I think you would like what I have for you," Uncle Dreadwing said. I looked at him with wide eyes because I never thought that he would have something that I would want. "Is this something that's just for me or Smokescreen and Bumblebee as well?" I asked. Uncle Dreadwing looked at me with a smile knowing that both Smokescreen and Bumblebee would want in on this as well. "They should see this as well," Uncle Dreadwing said. I grabbed my brothers knowing that would want to see what their uncle had for them or at least hear about it. 

"Shard said that you have something for us?" Smokescreen said when they found their uncle waiting for them outside the room he was staying in. Uncle Dreadwing looked at me hearing the nickname that Smokescreen used for me but realized that it was a common nickname that the team used for me. "I have a few photos of your carrier when she was your age including several with her and your grandcreators as well," Uncle Dreadwing said. We looked at him in shock because we never expected to see any photos of our carrier when she was our age much less with our grandcreators. Though we have seen photos of her when she and our sire were together with the rest of our family. "You have them because we have only seen photos of her with our sire," Smokescreen said which Bumblebee agreed with.  "That may be true but I know that what happened between your carrier and my side of the family can't be fixed overnight. Though I'm more than willing to start small I figured that you three figured out that you three were the reason why I switched sides in the first place," Uncle Dreadwing said. He showed us the photos of his younger years and I realized how much I did look like my Carrier. : You do look like our carrier Sis but there are a few things that I see that both Smokescreen and I got from her as well: Bumblebee said.

After the conversation about the past, the four of us went back to the main part of the hangar to see what was going on with everyone else. It was at that moment when Fowler walked out of his office saying that he had gotten word about the cons at two locations. "Ultra Magnus you will lead the Wreckers to the bluffs. Smokescreen, Bumblebee, Hot Rod, and Prowl you four are with me to the oil fields," Optimus said. Uncle Dreadwing went on patrol knowing that he was back up in case either team needed it or in case another bone popped up. "Careful out there okay?" Hot Rod said to me. "I'm always careful but you know how missions go with Wheeljack," I said in return. Hot Rod knew how Wheeljack always blows something up during a mission so telling me to be careful when it came to my cousin is always a given. I knew that something was about to go down but I don't know what. "I have a feeling that this going to go south real bad," Kup said looking at me. "I have the same feeling but we've been through enough missions together to know that bad feeling turns out to be true," I said back.
