Hey guys! Nearly 500 reads! That's crazy. In celebration, here's Chapter 10. The one you've undoubtedly been waiting for.

P.S. Sorry for the late chapter. It's been exam period at uni and I've actually been trying to study for once!

Loki's POV

The terrible thumping these humans called 'music' pumped through the room as I chuckled heartily. Rose and Thor were dancing terribly, the result of an assortment of what Rose termed 'cocktails'. I had examined the drink she placed in front of me earlier with skepticism. It looked deceivingly like water with 'olives' as she explained, yet tasted similar to... it was awful to say the least. Though, in an effort to impress her, I downed it in one gulp.

I sat in the booth watching as she continued to dance. She was breathtaking. The simple black dress was torture enough, and then she had to have gone and worn a devilish shade of red lip colour.

I couldn't take this anymore. I had to do something. And tonight.

I'd never seen a single being in the entire universe look so alluring and attractive.

Even dancing so ridiculously.

I stood and walked towards her.

Yet at that last minute, I turned abruptly and escaped to the garden.

She was far too pure for me. Far too loving and far too kind.

Rose's POV

I giggled loudly. Thor was throwing himself around on the dance floor in a fashion similar to a gorilla. It served him right for taking on Steve and in a drinking game. It was Thor's fault! He'd bought along that stupid Asgardian liquor that had been aged for a thousand years in some ship barrel or something. One thing had led to another and now Steve was slurringly lecturing Tony on the importance of patriotism and Thor was tipsily shimmying with Barton to my right.

It was Banner and Romanoff who were the most surprising.

I hadn't noticed the growing feelings between them. Yet there they were, hidden in our private booth, whispering into each other's ears.

"Oi, Potts. Come ove' 'ere," slurred Tony.

I wobbled towards Stark. The five martini's and two whiskey's making it a difficult task.

"Whaddaya want, bro?" I drawled, throwing my arm around his shoulder, "Where is our Pep tonight?"

"She didn't wanna see both of us drunk again. 'Member what happened last time?"

"I try not to"

"Anways, sis. I wanted to prompt ya. You gotta do somethin'"

"About what?"

"I had a good chat with our very own Odinson and he let somfin slip"

"What did he say?"

"He reckons good ol' Laufeyson has a somethin' for ya"

"Something for me?"

"You know, like a crush"

I laughed loudly. It sounded unnatural.

"Nice one Starky. But you don't fool me. I may be questionably intoxicated but ya don't get me that easy"

"I'm just tellin' ya the truf"
