These stories are in no particular order. Some are set in a time where Eddie and Reader are an exclusive couple,other times they may not even know eachother,or they may only be just friends. ENJOY!! ;)
The drive to the lake was a quiet one. Not in the sense that the cab was quiet,because it wasn't. Dustin and Steve were arguing about dropping 'the kids' off,so we could all enjoy our possible last night of freedom.
"Possible last night of- Steve,you're a goddamn college freshman! And it's winter formal. There's still the sweethearts dance and Sadie's- "
"Henderson,the only reason you wanna tag along is to get a glimpse of Nance in her swimsuit."
Everyone looked at Nancy.
"Woah Nancy,that is not—" Dustin started.
Mike sat there with a look of disgust on his face.
"It's winter. Who's gunna be swimming?!" Lucas adds.
"WOULD ALL OF YOU JUST SHUT UP!!" Nancy shouts. "If all of you don't stop with the arguing I'll have Eddie drop all of you children off,including you.Steve!" She glares at him.
"Nance.." Steve said,his ego bruised.
"I mean it."
"Hell just open the door right here,let 'em all out." Robin scoffs,clearly annoyed.
You listened a bit more to the bickering in the back and sighed.
"You alright?" He asked.
You thought you heard him,but couldn't quite hear it over the others. You turned and looked at him your brows furrowed. Eddie quickly looks at you,concerned.
"Are you?" He asks once more.
You softened your expression and gave him a nod.
"Robin has the right idea though." He grins.
You smile at his words.
"We're already more than half way there. It'd just be a waste of gas."
"Softy." He teased.
Eddie smiles small and then rolled his eyes at the arguing that was still going on. You then take the initiative and crank the volume dial up full blast just as the start of Megadeath's "Killing is My Business" blared through the speakers of the entire van.
You look to your left as you see Eddie heavily head-banging along to the song. You look into the back of the van and see Robin and Will covering their ears,while Max,Mike and Dustin acting as Eddie head banging and playing their air guitars and drums. Steve,Nancy and Lucas only sat and watched,slightly weirded out. You laughed at the hilarious sight.
Everyone was in good spirits as they poured out of the van. Even you. The last few minutes and that small chat with Eddie made all the difference. Once everyone was out of the van you all felt the drop in temperature and in unison you all started pulling on your jackets. The group one by one all filed into the woods with Steve leading the way. You were the last in line as you followed behind Max,when suddenly you felt someone grab you by the wrist and pull you back. You felt a gasp get stuck in your throat but didn't really make much noise as you made out his face in the pale moonlight. Which was all the light there was out there in the parking area.
"Hey. Stay back with me a sec?" Eddie asked softly.
