ROBINS POV:
I WALKED INTO THE grab n go with finney, making our way to the snack area giggling about funny topics that came into our conversation.
"ooo! i want these!" i said as i picked up some popping candy "i love popping candy" i mumbled before looking over at finn watching as he roamed the other end of the candy aisle.
"hey! should we get this?" i called out to him holding the popping candy up, he sent me a thumbs up, i smiled as i walked off to the drink area, finn joined me not long after.
I was stuck on what to pick, i watched finn pick up a grape soda and walk off "what does that taste like?" i asked as he walked away "grape..."
"oh yeah.." i said turning back to the fridge, that's when i felt someone beside me, in the corner of my eye someone opened the fridge "should i get thi- oh-" i turned thinking it was finn, but it wasn't.
It was a girl my age, she was very pretty. She had messy hair and she wore baggy clothes, she looked over at me with a confused look.
"sorry uh...i thought you were my friend" i said, she nodded her head with a small smile before grabbing her drink and walking off.
I slapped my palm onto my head at my idiotic behaviour. Hearing finn call out my name, i walked over to him seeing as he was at the counter.
The girl was behind him in the line, she played with the zipper on her jacket as she waited.
I stood behind her awkwardly, she looked over her shoulder at me before looking away again, she stepped forward to the counter when finney was done.
"Just that?" the man at the counter asked, she nodded. She didn't speak much "that's $2.50" he said, she began counting the money in her hands before she sighed.
Looking up at the man at the counter "i only have $2.25" she said, the man stood there awkwardly "you can't buy it"
I watched as she sighed grabbing her money and walking back over to the drink fridge "next!" the man called out, i felt bad for the girl.
"one second" i said as i ran over to the drink area, grabbing the drink she couldn't buy, i placed the two drinks on the counter and the popping candy.
"$10.30" i handed the man the money before racing out of the store, hoping she hadn't left yet.
But there she was, struggling to open her bike lock, an agitated expression on her face as she tried opening the lock.
"fucking stupid!" she mumbled as i approached her "uh" i said making her look up at me.
She looked down at the drinks in my hand before looking up at me "can i help you?" she asked, i gulped my nervousness down as i looked over at finn who stared at me in confusion.
"i brought you the drink" i said passing the drink to her, she grabbed the drink before smiling at me "thanks" she said.
"yeah, no problem" i smiled, i looked down at the bike lock before looking at her "need help?" she nodded as she tucked the hair behind her ears.
"it's not opening i dunno why" she said, i bent down placing my drink and snack on the floor as i began trying the open the lock.
"i've been having so much bad luck today" i heard her sigh, just as she said that the bike lock opened, i stood up smiling as i dusted my hands onto my pants.
"there" i said turning to her "woah, how'd you do that?" she chuckled "i dunno, my hands are magical" i joked, making her laugh.
"well thanks" she smiled "can i get your name?" i asked "y/n" she smiled as she hoped onto her bike, kicking the stand up.
"yours?" she said "robin" "well i'll see you around, bye!" she said as she put the drink in the basket of her bike, riding away.
"what was that about?" finn asked "just helping someone out" i shrugged "bullshit you like her"
"i don't even know her" "you fall for literally anyone that has a heart beat i swear" finn laughed shaking his head.
"not true!" "so true."
