I WAS IN THE KITCHEN preparing Christmas dinner after spending the whole day with my family. It was now time for my husband, Finney, and me to celebrate with our kids. The air was filled with their excited squeals as the kids played with the toys Santa had brought them. Finney, who had just finished work, arrived home to our kids rushing to him, showering him with hugs and kisses.

"Hey, gremlins" he grinned, hugging and kissing each of them. "Hey, Dada!" they replied, running back to the living room. I approached Finney, and he greeted me with a smile, his hands wrapping around my waist as he kissed my lips. Curious about his day, I asked how work was, and he sighed, telling me how stressful it was.

As we headed to the dining table, Finney insisted on helping in the kitchen. He stood behind me, hugging me while we plated the food. He'd occasionally place kisses on my shoulder.

Gathering around the table, we shared stories about our day. The kids excitedly talked about their daycare activities, filling the room with laughter. After finishing the Christmas dinner, we moved to the living room. Finney sat on the carpet, playing with the kids and their new toys. I watched proudly as he lifted our daughter, making her giggle with raspberry kisses on her cheeks.

I felt proud with the man I chose to marry and have kids with. Finn was the best dad, always trying to be there for our children, even after working late. Sometimes, I'd find him asleep beside them in their rooms, the kids cuddling up to him.

As the kids got tired and settled on the couch, our son sat on my lap, resting his head on my shoulder. Our daughter laid her head on a pillow on Finney's lap. Placing my head on Finney's shoulder, I kissed his cheek, and together, we enjoyed watching Christmas movies while the kids slowly drifted to sleep.
