She smiled as she saw London lights getting closer and closer. Your home together from now on. Looking back, the trip wasn't as bad as she imagined, in fact, it may have even saved your marriage.
They hadn't had an argument in a long time. Disagreements Yes, but not an argument that ended up hurting someone.
Maybe she should contact Charles's former friends and thank them for bringing them closer if they hadn't left. If none of this had happened, they might even be divorced.
They both looked at the lights of London together. As much as they had enjoyed the trip, she was happy to be home again and the city with the large buildings lined up next to each other and flickering lights almost looked like a welcoming beacon that had just been waiting for her return.
This time it felt stronger den yeh. They were invincible to the rest of the world. Charles looked lovingly at his wife, whom he was allowed to call his own. More than anything else, he was aware of the privilege he possessed.
She had a mask of serenity on her face and the reflections of the city lights shimmered in her eyes that he imagined formed constellations in her eyes and made her even more beautiful to him.
"Diana..." Charles began slowly "The trip...It was an absolute miracle..."
A slow smile graced Diana's lips as she listened to her husband's words. She was scared now that they were back. They would both be back to square one but to her relief there was better peace between them and she silently prayed that it would stay that way in the future. "It was more than I ever dared to dream."
They both smiled, enjoying the silence and Charles tenderly took Diana's hand and she looked up at her husband and prince in surprise.
"I realized during the trip...how much I still need you. Not as my wife or the mother of our children...but for you. We have lived so much apart from each other for a long time. Lost in the roles, that we have to play. It's time...assuming you want to...give 'us' a second chance. Start from a new beinning?"
Diana felt her emotions getting the better of her and this time she wasn't afraid to let them run free and present them to Charles. She had dreamed so often of a fairytale happy ending. Now, after so long, she got a real one. One with her own real prince.
"Yes," she whispered in a choked voice, finding herself in a comforting embrace from Charles.
When the royal yacht arrived at the harbor, the royal couple was greeted again by a flash of flashes and a cheering crowd. This time Charles decided to do a few things differently than before, starting with the paparazzi from which he would protect Diana more from now on so that she could have a quieter life. He realized how much she had sacrificed to become his wife and put a protective arm around Diana's waist, deciding from now on to protect her from the rest of the world
She is happy that her beloved royal couple reached London soil in good health. Those gathered just had no idea that they had become the spectacle of reborn love. Diana and Charles looked at each other with sparkling eyes ready to make a new beginning.
Right in the heart of London, they walked hand in hand into their shared kingdom under the brilliantly lit night sky. With the journey that reminds her of a long-forgotten love. The laughter filled with happiness and the second chance they decided to give.
To give your marriage, love and most of all yourself the fairytale couple that they should have been from the start. That the world had wished for them and together they rekindled the old magic that they had regained on the journey and try to rebuild their new relationship.
