guilty feelings

He watched Diana and the boys go to their rooms and sighed softly. That was the last thing he had planned for either himself or any of his friends to make anyone uncomfortable in any way.

He might have silently hoped that one of his friends would accept his suggestion to go shopping with Diana to get to know each other better. He had invited her in the hope of getting Diana out of her shell and not letting her dig in any further, and above all so that you might make friends, since he knew that Diana was often alone and a few friends would do her more good, but apparently he hadn't managed to do that himself.

He didn't want anyone on the trip to feel uncomfortable, including his wife. Sighing, he looked apologetically at his friends.

"I think Diana is right and it's getting late for all of us." he apologized to them while they nodded in understanding and also went to his rooms while Diana had just gone to bed and had read a few of the classics which she couldn't concentrate on, however, as her mind was still on the food and she was still wondering what Charles had been thinking probably nothing like she knew him, lay on his side with a sigh, pulled her legs to her and put her head on her hands while she fell asleep relatively quickly for her circumstances.

Charles was also in bed but couldn't think of anything but sleep. On the contrary, whenever he was able to fall asleep, he only saw images of Diana in his dreams. He still felt the guilt towards Diana and made a decision that he wanted to apologize to her. Determined to do so, he pulled on his robes on and walked slowly to her cabin, quietly opening her bedroom door so as not to startle her. Finding his young wife asleep and gazing at her for a few minutes.

She looks so beautiful while she was sleeping. There were so many people who were in love with her. He was lucky or unlucky and got to call her his wife. Hesitantly, he sighed and kissed her hair gently.

He didn't want to wake her up. It had been a busy day for everyone and sleep will do her good as he gently pulled the covers over her body and whispered both an apology and good night to her and slowly walked towards the door until he heard a soft murmur "Charles" and turned to  her, to look at a sleepy Diana and smiled slightly as she yawned softly and stretched idly.

"I did not want you to wake up." he said quietly apologetically and saw her bury her face in the pillow and seem to be thinking.

He always hated it when she covered her face from him because he didn't know anything about her thoughts and couldn't read them either but he knew it was mostly his own fault.

"It's all right." she assured him reassuringly and he walked back to the door as he whispered a soft good night but noticed that she wanted to say something and nodded encouragingly.

"stay here...?" she whispered hesitantly if he would agree or get angry and to her surprise he nodded his agreement. They hadn't shared a bed in a long time, especially not to get a quiet night's sleep.

"Gladly," Charles whispered, slightly reverent. As he removed his robe and carefully laid himself behind Diana and hesitantly pulling her closer to his body and cover them both lovingly. He had to lie to admit that he hadn't missed being able to lay like that with Diana without any drama between them and was light surprised how quickly they both fell asleep together this time.
