It was Saturday morning. Yesterday was a whole day of exams for students at Nevermore. A soft rain pittered onto the windows as Wednesday slept in the dorm she shared with Enid. The only thing indicating that Wednesday still had life in her body was her soft snores. She always looked like a corpse when she was sleeping. When they had first started dating, Enid would constantly check Wednesday's pulse as she slept. A few times she had woken up to it, and she secretly found it endearing. She assured Enid that she just looked like that while she was sleeping, ever since infancy. Enid was always looking out for Wednesday. She hated how she put herself in danger sometimes. So, Enid took every opportunity she could to spoil Wednesday.

This morning was no different. Enid woke up to the sound of Thing typing on the typewriter. She quickly grabbed her phone and started scrolling through the comments on her gossip blog. Most of them were people complaining about stupid questions on the exam, or asking what answers people put on the hard ones. She quickly got bored of this, nothing juicy was going on. As she put her phone down, an idea struck.

"Psst. Thing."

Thing stopped typing and scurried over to the floor beside Enid's bed.

"Can you go make waffles for me and Wednesday? Pretty please. I'll give you a manicure later today."

Thing gave a thumbs up, and Enid hopped out of bed and opened the door. Thing scurried past as she shut the door back. She turned on a 15-minute motivational video to listen to as she did her morning stretches. Werewolf power poses were her signature warm-ups. Once she was thoroughly stretched and motivated, she knew what she wanted to do next.

Enid plopped down beside Wednesday, still sleeping in her bed. She kissed Wednesday on her forehead in an attempt to awaken her. Wednesday groaned and rolled over as she grabbed her pillow and put it over her head.

"Come on babeeee, it's time to get up." Enid tugged the pillow out of Wednesday's hands and threw it on the floor.

"How do you have this much energy?" She grabbed Enid's hand, holding it gently.

"It's rainingggg come on." Enid tugs her until she's sitting up. "Let's go dance."

"Outside?"

"Yes, of course! You're a writer, you should know that dancing in the rain is romantic."

"My writing isn't romantic. And as much as I'd love to go in the rain and get pneumonia, I have too many priorities that it would get in the way of."

Enid sighed and let go of Wednesday's hand. She thought for a second, then she brought her hand up to cup Wednesday's cheek. Their lips met, softly but passionately. Wednesday brought her hands up to gently tug on Enid's hair.

When they finally pulled away, Enid looked at Wednesday with puppy eyes and grabbed her hands. "Please, babe?" She tugged Wednesday out of bed.

"Can't we just spend the day in bed? I was comfortable." Enid obviously was not accepting this request, staring at her with an expectant look.

Wednesday looked hesitant. She sighed, "Ok. But only for you, mi amor."
