It's Christmas day.

Woah, that was fast.

Enid wasn't complaining though.

Wednesday was the one complaining.

Wednesday wasn't really expecting anything less of Enid on Christmas. She would wake her up and do everything she could to make Wednesday get into the holiday spirit. Like she has done for the last 6 years. It wouldn't work, but Wednesday would do everything she could to make Enid happy.

"Wake up!!" Enid yelled.

"I'm awake, Cara mia." Wednesday grumbled. Sitting up in their bed. She was glad that she woke up everyday to Enid's sleeping face. But always on Christmas, Enid woke up first. Wednesday couldn't help but smile.

"What do you have planned for today?" Wednesday said, Enid already started braiding her hair, like she did every morning. She loved it.

"Its a surprise! Well I can tell you that we are gonna get some Starbucks in like 15 minuets." Enid said, Wednesday hummed as a response.

"I better get ready then" Wednesday said. Enid giggled again.

"Don't worry, I'll be done in a bit." Wednesday knew that, she just wanted this to go on forever.

Once they both got their coffee and their croissants, they got in their car and started driving to their destination. (Enid got a chocolate filled one and Wednesday didn't)

"Where are we going?" Wednesday asked, Enid looked at her and boop-ed her nose.

"I can't tell you, silly! It's a surprise, remember?" Enid said, Wednesday didn't really like surprises. But she want's her soon-to-be wife to be happy.

"Fine." Wednesday said. Enid giggled.

"Why are you laughing?" Wednesday said, she was too grumpy to try to act happy.

"You really are just a grumpy cat." Enid laughed out, Wednesday didn't get it. Was this similar to how Enid reminded Wednesday how she is like a golden retriever?

"Well you are like a Golden Retriever" Wednesday replied. Enid looked at her with puppy eyes.

"Your so right!" Enid exclaimed. Wednesday couldn't help but smile, dropping the grumpy act. Enid smiled a bright smile back. Wednesday blushed. She shouldn't. She's been with Enid for 5 years, she should be use to this.

"We are almost here!" Enid said, Wednesday nodded.

"What do you think I'm showing you?" Enid asked, trying to do some small talk before we got here. But it was never small talk because we would talk from hours on end about random things.

"Something big probably." Wednesday said, Enid laughed a little.

"Your right." Enid said, Wednesday smiled again. She's been smiling more, only at Enid. People would be lucky if they even got a small smile from Wednesday.

"Can you close your eyes?" Enid asked, Wednesday nodded and closed them. Enid took her hand and led her out of the car, Wednesday nearly smiled at the warmth of her hand, even if it was winter, her hands were warm.

"I'll tell you when to open em'." Enid said, they were walking for what felt like an entirety. Before Enid stopped, Wednesday stopped too.

"You can open your eyes in..3..2..1!" Enid yelled, Wednesday opened her eyes to be met with a big Christmas tree and lights all around, there were families ice skating, and there were families exchanging gifts to other families. So many kids running around and holding churros at this time of day. Wednesday looked at Enid with a warm smile and that caused Enid too look away from the tree to give her one to.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" Enid said, intertwining their hands. Wednesday nodded.

"It is." Wednesday said, she placed a kiss on her cheek. Enid kissed Wednesday's forehead. Christmas music started to play at the ice skating rink and Enid couldn't help but sing along. Wednesday adored it. This was a sight that she thought that she would never see in her entire life. Enid said that she would get some hot cocoa from the stand that was near the rink. Wednesday nodded.

"Merry Christmas." Wednesday whispered, sure that Enid wouldn't hear.

"Merry Christmas, Wednesday!" Enid yelled. Her heart warmed.
