Before you read, I'd like to say that I interpret "days off" as days off they have that'd usually be school days. So Sunday doesn't count. I've also recently realised that school in Japan usually lasts six days a week, so all the chapters on a Saturday... ehehe (• ▽ •;)On another note, this chapter, along with about seven other chapters across all my books, are ridiculously late. This one's also crappy, so I'm sorry about that. I swear, it feels like I'm getting worse at writing 😮💨
It's unedited, as I barely had the motivation to finish what I thought would be a fun chapter to write, let alone edit it. Again, I'm sorry.
A sudden, muffled ringing slowly grows louder as I stirr awake, my once peaceful slumber disrupted by the crude sound. I groan, my grip on the blanket tightens as I hope it'll just disappear. Or hopefully I can drown it out by my own exhaustion. It feels like forever before it finally stops, a grin tugs at my lips as I sink back into the blankets, getting comfortable once again. Unfortunately, it seems dawn isn't on my side, as the ringing starts once again. With an irritated huff, I push myself up from my bed and fish underneath my pillow for my phone. The screen's brightness nearly blinds me, I hadn't expected it to be on. Squinting, I read the few words across the screen. My annoyance grows upon seeing the culprit who's been irritating me for the last few minutes isn't an alarm, but rather Himari calling me.
I frown. Why is she calling me this early? School doesn't start for another two hours. Yawning, I send Himari to voicemail before shoving my phone back underneath my pillow, flopping down on my bed in hopes of going back to sleep. It works, for about two seconds.
My teeth grit together, and I grab my phone once again, mumbling curses while I silence my phone, fumbling with my pillow rather aggressively as I try to get comfortable for the third time. Whatever Himari's calling me for she can just tell me in an hour and a half whilst we're driving to school. It can't be that important, anyway. Not this early. I just want to sleep. Is that too much to ask?
Five, lovey, uninterrupted minutes pass by, and I feel myself dozing off, nearly falling back into beautiful and amazing sleep. My head sinking into the pillow in a way that'll leave some part of my body numb later, but result in one hell of a sleep. That is, until a loud bang scares the absolute life out of me and I shoot up in a panic, arms propping myself up in a painful and uncomfortable way.
"Huh? What? I'm up!" I almost yell, glancing around the room rapidly. My eyes soon landing on the one and only strawberry blonde, Himari.
"Y/N!" Himari yells, her tone chipper.
I huff frustratedly at the strawberry blonde. "Himari? What..." A yawn splits my sentence. "...are you doing here?"
"You weren't answering my calls." She says calmly, her very sudden change in attitude more unusual than usual.
A dumbfounded expression crosses my features as I stare at her. "Because it's quarter past six in the morning! It's not even time for school yet..." I mumble.
"Okay, okay, okayayayayay. I've got something incredible to tell you. It'll probably be the best thing you've heard all week. But first, here, drink this, it'll help." She says hastily, before passing me a cup of coffee from the side of her backpack.
My brows furrow. Yep. She's way, way more chipper than usual. Almost too chipper. "How much coffee have you had today?"
"Six, maybe seven cups. I'm entirely not sure. I've been busy, busy, busy all morning!" Himari rambles, taking a sip from her own plastic cup.
I decide to ignore her sudden caffeine addiction and instead direct her back to the reason she burst into my room and woke me up. "Okay, what's up?"
"Since I can't go to the training camp, I have had the best idea! What if we throw a Summer Pool Party!" Himari exclaims, throwing her free arm up.
