Chapter 8

Robin's pov

Robin sluggishly got up from her bed,her alarm clock blaring. It had been weeks since the fair, and Nancy hadn't talked to her since. Each time she tried calling it would just ring and then stop at some point,which meant Nancy wasn't answering. She walked down the stairs,groaning sleepily,she put on her work vest and got into her car.

When Robin arrived,Steve was leaning on the side of the video store," Wow,Robin Buckley is late for the first time since her first day! I was waiting for you so I wouldn't have to sit in the sun." She gave Steve an amused smile before throwing Steve the keys," Great,since you're a decent employee now,can you open Family Video?",Robin teased before walking inside of the now unlocked store.

Robin looked down at the counter,unsorted video tapes sitting there. "Great."She muttered,looking over to Steve who was just leaning against the shelves," Steve!" She glared at him,causing him to scramble to the romance section and start sorting the tapes.

"So,how are you and Nancy doing?",Steve leaned against the counter,his head turned towards Robin. "You like her again?",She asked,her eyebrow raised. She remembered most of the times that Steve flirted with Nancy,or at least tried to,during the whole Vecna ordeal. "Nope. Me and her are done." Robin tilted her head," It's just that with all that flirting and disappointment when Jonathan came back,I thought you liked her or something. Hell,even Eddie knew what was going on!" Steve sighed," Liking Nancy was better than liking someone who is dead,so yeah I guess I did like her."

" You liked Eddie?",Robin stood up to see Steve walking into the storage room. "I have to get a new tape from the storage section." She walked up to the storage room door,knocking rhythmically. "Wanna talk about it?"

Steve ran his hands through his hair,letting out a sigh. "Yeah,sure."Robin sat down on one of the boxes in the storage room. "You miss him,don't you?" Steve looked up," Yup. We weren't considered close,but I really do miss him." Robin patted his shoulder comfortingly," What would you do if got him back?" He shrugged," Hang out with him,I guess. Make up for everything I said about him or did to him in high school."

Robin was now trapped in her thoughts. Could she try talking with Nancy about what happened at the fair? Nancy probably thought Robin was disgusting. "Steve,can I talk about Nancy for a bit?" Steve raised an eyebrow before it settled back into place with the other. "Let me guess,Nancy saw you with Vickie." Robin rubbed the back of her neck nervously," Yeah,I just don't know how to talk to her about it.What if she isn't accepting and tells the whole town? She's probably on her way to do it right now!" Steve sighed,running his hands through his hair again," I'm surprised. I thought you would've figured out Nancy wouldn't do that at some point." He teased,gently hitting Robin's shoulder," Just talk to her,I'm sure she'll understand."

" You really think so?",Robin nervously fidgeted on the box she was sitting on." I do." Apparently,those two words were enough to give Robin the confidence to talk to Nancy again. The two walked out of Family Video,flipping the front sign over to the closed side. Steve locked the front door,turning to Robin," I know you don't need it,but good luck."
